Starting March 22, the Michelin-starred Cycene in Shoreditch will introduce Saturday luncheons. This new offering features a carefully curated four-course menu that changes weekly, highlighting the best of British seasonal produce from both land and sea. Each dish reflects Head Chef Taz Sarhane’s close relationships with Cycene’s trusted suppliers. This stunning restaurant sits beneath the tranquil rooftop The Garden at 120, and hides delights for the eye in every nook and cranny . 11. Sessions Art Club, Clerkenwell
Image: @sessionsartsclub, via IG
An undisputed hidden gem nestled in the heart of Clerkenwell, Sessions Arts Club effortlessly blends an impressive artistic flair with culinary excellence and bohemian charm. Housed in a restored 18th-century courthouse, the restaurant’s interiors boast high ceilings, grand windows, and an eclectic mix of vintage and contemporary decor, making this dining experience just as visually stunning, as it is delicious.
📍You’ll find Sessions Arts Club at 24 Clerkenwell Green, EC1R 0NA.
🚇 Nearest station is Farringdon.
12. Juno, Notting Hill
If you can get a table at this tinyyy six-seater (!) omakase restaurant, you’re in for a real treat. And since it’s an omakase experience, there’s no need to waste time looking at a menu. Instead, you can luxuriate in the gorgeous environs as you enjoy a parade of masterfully prepared dishes.
📍 You’ll find Juno at 2-4 Farmer Street, W8 7SN.
🚇 Nearest station is Notting Hill Gate.
13. Clos Maggiore, Covent Garden
It’s a firm fixture on our most romantic restaurants in London list, and for good reason. Snag a seat in the “fairy room”, and you’ll be dining beneath insanely ‘grammable cherry blossoms whilst being sat next to a roaring fire. Food skews towards fancy, French, and filling – with a price point to match – but it’s nonetheless a meal to remember!
📍You’ll find Clos Maggiore at 33 King Street, WC2E 8JD.
🚇 Nearest station is Covent Garden.
14. La Poule au Pot, Belgravia
Image: @lapouleaupotrestaurant, via IG
Belgravia’s cutest fancy French restaurant brings rustic vibes and photogenic décor to London. It feels like you’ve escaped the fancy streets of Belgravia, and ended up in a charming French cottage thanks to the gloiously charming interiors.
📍You’ll find La Poule au Pot at 231 Ebury Street, SW1W 8UT.
🚇 Nearest station is Sloane Square.
15. Amazonico, Mayfair
Rocking a pretty gorgeous arboreal theme, here’s Madrid transplant Amazonico, which brings the flavours of Peru, Colombia, and Brazil to Mayfair. It’s a toss-up as to what’s more exciting – the caramelised pineapples, spun over a gentle flame for four hours for maximum taste, or the tropical interiors, dotted with models of peacocks and tropical creatures.
📍You’ll find Amazonico at 10 Berkeley Square, W1J 6BR.
🚇 Nearest station is Green Park.
16. Bob Bob Ricard, Soho
I’d estimate a good 60% of Bob Bob Ricard’s attraction lies in their downright dangerous “press for champagne” button, but it’d be rude not to mention the striking vintage blue and gold interiors at the bar and in their ultra-luxe dining room. There’s also a second, similarly champagne-happy site over in The Cheesegrater, but the Soho spot remains the OG.
📍You’ll find Bob Bob Ricard at 1 Upper James Street, W1F 9DF.
🚇 Nearest station is Piccadilly Circus.
17. Ziggy Green, Mayfair
Courtesy of the Daisy Green group, Ziggy Green offers up gorgeous environs with more than a touch of Bowie flair. Artworks hang from every spare bit of wall, and guests are greeted by a stunning light sculpture when they arrive, which provides an interactive ‘Ziggy’ moment as they enter the space. The team also recently reopened the Colony Room Club downstairs from Ziggy Green – which acts as a time capsule back into the past. Part living art installation, part seedy drinking den, it recreates the heyday of what was once the beating Bohemian heart of Soho.
📍You’ll find Ziggy Green at 4 Heddon Street, W1B 4BD.
🚇 Nearest station is Piccadilly Circus.
18. Luca, Clerkenwell
Image: @luca.restaurant, via IG
Luca is where style, elegance, and magical (Michelin-starred) Italian food all meet up – in the most gorgeous of environs. The décor draws inspiration from 1950’s Italy, from the olive trees in the garden room to the intimate booths and cobbled floor. It’s another example of how some of London’s prettiest restaurants can make you feel like you’ve left London altogether!
📍You’ll find Luca at 88 St John Street, EC1M 4EH.

🚇 Nearest stations are Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street
20. Cafe Laville, Little Venice
Image: @londons_venice, via IG
Perched precariously over the waters of Regent’s Canal, Cafe Laville makes our prettiest restaurant list for the gorgeous views it commands of the water. It’s doubly special in the summertime when the glass doors are thrown open for al fresco dining – and triply special when digging into a plate of freshly-made pasta at the same time.
📍You’ll find Cafe Laville at 453 Edgware Road, W2 1AT.
🚇 Nearest station is Warwick Avenue.
21. Uchi, Hackney
Uchi eschews the bells and whistles of London’s other Insta-ready dining in favour of thoughtful minimalism – which still looks striking on the IG feed, of course. Sunken dining tables, soft wood, and white curtains permeate a homely, wholesome space, which is quickly filled with as much sushi, robata, and tempura as you can muster. Don’t miss their daytime bakery under the guise of Uchi Bakes, where the sweet treats are as stunning as the location.
📍You’ll find Uchi at 144 Clarence Road, Lower Clapton, E5 8DY.
🚇 Nearest station is Hackney Downs.
22. LINNÆAN, Nine Elms
Well before Battersea Power Station finally arose from its slumber, LINNÆAN was doing its part to revitalize the area and bring it back to life. Part beauty salon, part café, part seasonal, zero waste restaurant, it earns a spot on our list thanks to plenty of pastel colours and floral decor.
📍You’ll find LINNÆAN at Embassy Gardens, 2 New Union Square, Nine Elms, SW11 7AX.
🚇 Nearest station is Nine Elms.
23. Bar Douro, London Bridge and City of London
We’re eternally grateful for all that Portugal has given the world, but especially for the holy trinity of port, pasteis de nata, and azulejos. Luckily, you’ll find them all in spades at Bar Douro, which marries brilliant small plates with a stunning sense of design flair. The London Bridge site boasts rustic charm, while the City of London restaurant brings a bit of refinement, whilst both share a clear visual language. Just look at those tiles!
📍You’ll find Bar Douro at 35B, Arch, 85B Southwark Bridge Road, SE1 0NQ and at Unit 3, 1 Finsbury Avenue, EC2M 2PF.
🚇 Nearest stations are London Bridge and Moorgate.
24. Brunswick House, Vauxhall
This is most definitely a worthy addition to this roundup of the prettiest restaurants in London. Ever been in a restaurant and wished you could walk out with a load of the fixtures? I mean, apart from all the previous spots on this list, of course. Well, at Brunswick House, you can, for everything you see is for sale – because the fancy restaurant doubles up as an antiques shop, filled with chandeliers, mirrors, and chairs.
📍You’ll find Brunswick House at 30 Wandsworth Road, SW8 2LG.
🚇 Nearest station is Vauxhall.
25. Morchella, Clerkenwell
You don’t need white linen tablecloths or vintage decor to earn a spot on this list of London’s prettiest restaurants. And if any restaurant proves that, it’s Morchella. The deceptively simple decor and furniture belie the care and taste that has gone into furnishing and outfitting the restaurant. It’s a simply stunning spot for a meal.
📍 You’ll find Morchella at 84-86 Rosebery Avenue, EC1R 4QY.
🚇 Nearest station is Angel.
26. Circolo Popolare, Fitzrovia
Remember the above Carlotta? Well, this is yet another restaurant from the same restaurant group. And they certainly aren’t known for their subtlety. Gigantic pizzas, outlandish pasta dishes, and a fabulously OTT lemon meringue pie are the standouts here… if your eyes are fixed only on the menu, of course. Otherwise, you’re probably looking at the fairy lights and 20,000 bottles of booze – which is pretty understandable.
📍You’ll find Circolo Popolare at 40-41 Rathbone Place, W1T 1HX.
🚇 Nearest station is Tottenham Court Road.
27. Minnow, Clapham
Great things come in small packages, and squeezed into a little space on the fringes of Clapham Common is Minnow. The inviting frontage hits at their serious design credentials, and the stained glass window inside just proves that. But the restaurant truly shines when the sun is out and you can enjoy a meal al fresco. Isn’t every restaurant all the more beautiful in the sun, anyway?
📍You’ll find Minnow at 21 The Pavement, SW4 0HY.
🚇 Nearest station is Clapham Common.
28. Berenjak, Borough and Soho
Modelled on the hole-in-the-wall eateries of Tehran, Berenjak has a ravishing range of kababs, khoresht, and more Persian dishes available. If you can snag a seat in the Hayat, you’ll find a cosy, comfy space hidden behind a curtain, which really is the perfect hideaway to try everything on the menu. They’ve also got a late-night bottomless kebab menu – need I say more?
📍You’ll find Berenjak at 1 Bedale Street, SE1 9AL, and 27 Romilly Street, W1D 5AL.
🚇 Nearest stations are London Bridge and Tottenham Court Road.
29. Dalloway Terrace, Fitzrovia
The best thing about Dalloway Terrace is that you can come back every season and see it in a different outfit, because it’s often dressed in russet for Autumn, twinkling with frosted pine in Winter, or blooming beautifully through the Spring. So, basically, it’s such a pretty restaurant taht you’ll just have to return again and again and again.
📍You’ll find Dalloway Terrace at 16-22 Great Russell Street, WC1B 3NN.
🚇 Nearest station is Tottenham Court Road.
30. Brother Marcus, Spitalfields
Another of our prettiest restaurants that goes heavy on plant life, Brother Marcus is a wonderful spot for a special meal. It’s all very a e s t h e t i c, but perhaps even prettier is The Step Sister, a tower of sweet potato, courgette and feta fritters, avocado and kale, turmeric yoghurt and a poached egg which had our Georgie swooning. (Brother Marcus also now counts locations in Covent Garden, Angel, Borough Yards, and South Kensington under their belt.)
📍You’ll find Brother Marcus at 2 Crispin Place, Whitechapel, E1 6DW.
🚇 Nearest station is Liverpool Street.
31. SUSHISAMBA, Covent Garden
When your first restaurant is high up in the Heron Tower, and commands views over The Gherkin, you’d better do something special for a sophomore effort. Thankfully, SUSHISAMBA’s gorgeous overgrown jungle in Covent Garden – finished off with bespoke lighting, marble counters, and plush velvet chairs – does just that. It’s not the restaurant group’s only site in London, but it is one of the most stunning!
📍You’ll find SUSHISAMBA at 35 The Market, WC2E 8RF.
🚇 Nearest station is Covent Garden.
32. Julie’s, Notting Hill
This West London restaurant already boasts an impressive reputation and history to its name, but under the direction of new owner Tara MacBain it’s gone from strength to strength. The stunning restaurant spans two floors – plus an alfresco terrace – and combines old-world luxury with a modern aesthetic. At the centre of it all is the dramatic chandelier which spans the entire restaurant ceiling. You’ll likely spend as much of your meal looking up at the ceiling as you do the food and the people around you!
📍You’ll find Julie’s at 135 Portland Road, W11 4LW.
🚇 Nearest station is Holland Park.
33. Casa Do Frango, London Bridge
Piri iri is so good they named it twice, but equally nice are the exposed brick interiors, light-flooded dining room, and artfully dotted house plants at Casa Do Frango’s OG location in London Bridge. As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also the seductive The Green Room cocktail bar hidden in the basement. They also boast venues in Victoria and Piccadilly so you’re spoiled for choice.
📍You’ll find Casa Do Frango at 32 Southwark Street, SE1 1TU.
🚇 Nearest station is London Bridge.
34. Petersham Nurseries, Richmond
Although not strictly a restaurant, this adored garden centre boasts a stunning café and eatery that’s perfect for a picture-perfect lunch. Petersham Nurseries offers must-try dining experiences that blend a rustic charm with its gorgeously green and lush gardens. Head here for an enchanting atmosphere that feels worlds away from the rowdy vibrations of London life.
📍You’ll find Petersham Nurseries off Petersham Road, Richmond, TW10 7AG.
🚇 Nearest station is Piccadilly Circus.
35. Apple Butter, Seven Dials and Westminster
Image: @applebuttercafe, via IG
Giving the Garden of Eden a run for its money, Apple Butter’s claim to being one of London’s prettiest restaurants leans heavily on the giant apple tree at the heart of the cafe. Middle Eastern-inspired desserts provide plenty of temptation – but be warned, it’s so popular (because it’s so beautiful) that you’ll likely have to queue! Read all about it here.
📍You’ll find Apple Butter at 32-34 Monmouth Street, WC2H 9HA, and 4-5 Langham Place, W1B 3DG.
🚇 Nearest stations are Covent Garden and Goodge Street & Oxford Circus.
36. Gold, Notting Hill
Image: @goldnottinghill, via IG
If you name your restaurant after a precious resource, you better have something impressive to back it up with! Fortunately, Gold has plenty to show for their name. But rather than flashy and ornate, the interior is restrained and understated, but delightfully cosy and gorgeous. Outside it is adorned with a stunning building-encompassing artwork that peers down at passers-by and extends into the dining room. And with four floors, including an attic terrace, you’ll just have to keep coming back to check it all out.
📍You’ll find Gold at 95-97 Portobello Road, W11 2QB.
🚇 Nearest stations are Bayswater and Queensway.
37. Riviera, St James’s
By day and by night, Riviera is a feast for the eyes and is as dreamy as London restaurants get. The French haven is filled with natural textures, which bring the warmth of Southern France. Towering windows bathe the dining room in sunlight, and allow diners to look out onto the streets of St James’s as it glows in the evening light.
📍 You’ll find Riviera at 23 St James’s Street, St. James’s, SW1A 1HA.
🚇 Nearest station is Green Park.
38. Yasmin, Soho
One of the most celebrated 2024 openings to hit Soho was also one of its prettiest. Yasmin is a hidden rooftop gem in Soho, with a wrap-around terrace, stunning interiors, and delectable food. It’s just the spot to relax with friends, order a few sharing platters of Middle Eastern food, and sip at sundowner cocktails. Six floors above the busy streets of Soho, life is good in one of London’s prettiest restaurants.
📍 You’ll find Yasmin on the Sixth floor of 1 Warwick, 1 Warwick Street, Soho, W1B 5LR.
🚇 Nearest station is Piccadilly Circus.
39. Los Mochis, London City
Los Mochis’ Notting Hill restaurant was already a celeb and foodie hotspot. But their Liverpool Street-adjacent restaurant has seen them leaping to the top of the ‘must-try’ list for everyone in town – both for the Japanese-Mexican cuisine and the to-die-for aesthetics around every corner. The restaurant covers a whopping 14,000 square feet and boasts an enormous 9th-floor rooftop terrace, a main dining space, two intimate private dining rooms, a sushi bar, a wine and sake room, and an Agaveria. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to get up from your table and wander around, to see everything it has to offer.
📍 You’ll find Los Mochis City on the 9th Floor, 100 Liverpool Street, EC2M 2AT.
🚇 Nearest station is Liverpool Street.
40. Elis, Bethnal Green
Elis is a slinking, casually charming restaurant with a sophisticated yet welcoming interior. Walk in and you’re greeted with an eclectic selection of light fixtures and funky-patterned banquette seating. But take a seat and you’ll start to notice the little touches that bring the room together: intimate peeks into someone’s life, vinyl records, and photographs. The food is a wonderful mix of Brazilian and Italian dishes, and the interiors complement it wonderfully without detracting.
📍 You’ll find Elis on the 1st floor, Town Hall Hotel, 8 Patriot Square, E2 9NF.
🚇 Nearest stations are Cambridge Heath and Bethnal Green.
41. Piazza Italiana, City of London
Housed inside a Grade II listed building – formerly the British Linen Bank of Threadneedle Street – Piazza Italiana is a stunning spot for some picturesque Italian dining. With its high ceilings, ornate chandeliers, columns that dot the room, and vast windows that fill the space with light, dining here looks, tastes, and feels opulent. (Psst… they also do a bottomless brunch with unlimited pasta, pizza, and Aperol Spritz!)
📍 You’ll find Piazza Italiana at 38 Threadneedle Street, EC2R 8AY.
🚇 Nearest stations are Bank and Liverpool Street.
42. Sucre, Soho
Just look at those chandeliers. And those mirrored walls. And take a seat and luxuriate lounge in that plush green seating as you enjoy the wafts of smoke from the open-fire kitchen. Sucre feels like two worlds and aesthetics have been smashed together, but in the most glorious way.
📍 You’ll find Sucre at 47b Great Marlborough Street, W1F 7JP.
🚇 Nearest station is Oxford Circus.
43. Sparrow Italia, Mayfair
With gorgeous interiors of indoor trees, low lighting, and gold accents, a meal at Sparrow is a real treat. It’s not just the interiors though: the team’s attention to pretty details extends to the place settings, drinks, and of course the food. A few of the Secret London team have visited themselves, noting the decorative sprig of rosemary in the folded napkins to the spicy cocktail served with a flourish of fire (and a cute fire water bottle attached to the drink’s garnish).
📍You’ll find Sparrow at 1-3 Avery Row, W1K 4AJ.
🚇 Nearest station is Bond Street.
44. The Portrait Restaurant,
If a restaurant is housed inside the National Portrait Gallery, it has to be as pretty as a picture, right? Well, Richard Corrigan’s Portrait Restaurant certainly is. Tucked above the gallery, the venue offers unparalleled views of London, looking out over Trafalgar Square and the Houses of Parliament. And the inside isn’t too shabby, either, thanks to the artwork that dots the room and adorns the walls.
📍 You’ll find The Portrait Restaurant at the National Portrait Gallery, St Martin’s Place, WC2H 0HE.
🚇 Nearest stations are Charing Cross and Leicester Square.
45. Azzurra, Belgravia
Bringing a taste of the Mediterranean to London, dining here feels like an escape from dreary old Britain. Inside you’ll find floor-to-ceiling windows, a striking bar that runs the length of the restaurant, and azure and blue touches all over. The restaurant’s focus on seafood is complemented by projections of shimmering water and draped sculptures of fishing netting. Last year, they even won the Best Restaurant Design (Europe) award at the International Hotel & Property Award. How’s that for one of London’s prettiest restaurants?
📍 You’ll find Azzurra at 127 – 128 Sloane Street, SW1X 9AS.
🚇 Nearest station is Sloane Square
