Dreamy views are on the menu at Cafe Laville.
If you’re looking for a heavenly slice of la dolce vita, we have just the place for you. Amongst the charming canals and dream houses of Little Venice, you’ll find Cafe Laville. On paper, it sounds nice but unremarkable – a nice Italian cafe in an admittedly lovely part of West London. However, as soon as you walk through the doors, you’ll see Cafe Laville’s trump card: a stunning view of Regent’s Canal.
In a city spoiled by gorgeous canalside spots, Cafe Laville is one of the prettiest. They’ve tried to bring the Mediterranean vibes to Edgware Road, and they’ve kind of nailed it. The cafe stole a plum spot, literally sitting above Regent’s Canal, meaning you’ll be watch the boats drift by as you sip your macchiato. It’s particularly lovely if you can steal a spot on their balcony, but you’ll face some competition for it.
On sunny days, of which there will hopefully be many this summer, Cafe Laville throws open the doors and turns the whole place into an alfresco dining dream. The menu is heavy on rustic Italian food, with a tasty range of freshly-made pasta and other hearty mains. Breakfast skews more traditionally English, and there’s a range of ciabatta sandwiches to sink your teeth into as well.
To be honest, you may not have room for food, because you’ll be gorging yourself on the views. Cafe Laville is an excellent place to bask in the sun and scope out your dream houseboat, or simply spam your followers with an avalanche of pictures.
You’re not the only one who loves it: Cafe Laville’s prime location has seen it head to the big screen, as it featured heavily in a recent Drew Barrymore film. And if it’s good enough for Drew, it’s good enough for you!
