This gorgeous south London restaurant is brimming with antiques, and everything you see is for sale.
Dating back to the mid 17th Century, Brunswick House is a bloody great mansion in Vauxhall. The house and its gardens once took up over three acres of land, and it’s had a number of different owners through the years, including the London and South Western Railway Company. Nowadays, however, it’s home to a seriously Instagrammable restaurant filled with the most magnificent chandelier-covered ceiling.
You can head to Brunswick House for breakfast, brunch, dinner or drinks, and there are some outrageously beautiful spaces available for private hire, too. The venue also doubles up as an antiques store, as you can purchase almost anything you see, including the chairs you sit on.
Their lunch and dinner menus change daily, and they tend to feature a wide range of dishes; from delicious starters such as Salt Cod Croquettes with Romesco Sauce, and gourmet mains like Lamb Leg with Celeriac Fondant and Salsa Verde.
Alternatively, head straight to the bar for a bit of bougie boozing. Their wine list is hefty, and their cocktails sound absolutely heavenly. Let us tease you with the description of a Raspberry Mess, made with cognac, raspberry, cinnamon, nutmeg and white chocolate. Or perhaps a Grapefruit Paleta with tequila, grapefruit, coffee and hops?
