Well, folks, we’re now well over halfway through the year – and it seems like the weather has taken notice! The sun is shining for longer every day, the sky is blue (sometimes at least), and the temperatures have been staying in the 20s and even 30s! That’s right, summer has officially arrived, and we’re raring to get out and enjoy the weather and our lovely city this July.
In anticipation of the long sunny days and (patches of) glorious weather, we’ve rounded up some brilliant things to do this month in London. Whether you’re sipping pints, enjoying live music, stuffing your face at food festivals, or heading off to the beach, there’s plenty to do to keep you entertained. Celebrate Pride in London
While Pride Month may come to a close at the end of June, the city’s Pride parades take place in July. So why not join hands and walk through the streets of London to show your love for all of London’s LGBTQIA+ residents? This year, there are two parades in particular where you can show your love and support:

Fancy taking a step back in time to explore the world of Ancient Egypt? Then you’ll want to make a beeline for the ‘Ramses and the Pharaohs’ Gold’ exhibition. This fascinating experience features “the largest collection of Ramses II items to have ever left Egypt“. Among them are “the coffin of Ramses II himself and the golden mask of King Amenemope”. As if that wasn’t enough, it’s even received a unique stamp of approval from the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Culture. So you know it’s the real deal!
Think the London Eye is only for tourists? Think again! Many people, even local Londoners, probably don’t know that you can spot some real gems from up there – things you had no idea you could see from the heart of London.
This summer, book yourself a ticket for a ride in one of the capsules and look out for these lesser-known sights, including the centuries-old Cleopatra’s Needle, two hidden rooftop gardens, a couple of castles, and much more.
Canary Wharf might not be the first place you think of when asked to name swimming spots in or near the city – until now, that is. Thanks to a brand-new Olympic-sized floating lido, it’s now a hot spot for cooling off in the city. Go ahead, make all those office workers envious as you dive in and enjoy the water.

The London Craft Beer Festival is one of the biggest annual events in the craft beer calendar. The beer-y festival treats attendees to ultra-fresh beers from the best breweries from around the UK and the world. The ‘all-in’ ticketing model means that all your beer is included. A stunning new exhibition opens in London this July, allowing visitors to journey through centuries of human history and discover 4,000-year-old civilisations lost to time. The Timewalk Exhibition is a gateway to ancient paradisical cities, jungle-wrapped ruins and star-piercing pyramids. Across multiple immersive rooms, the stories of civilisations such as Babylon and Maya will be brought to life through spellbinding visuals, atmospheric soundscapes, and interactive elements.
Come on, you know you want to. A lido is all well and good, but does anything beat a proper beach trip? Get out of the city this July and check out some of the nearby beaches. Go East Vintage is back this July with its third market takeover of the historic Wapping Power Station. Visitors can browse vintage goods in a stunning setting as they explore the incredible old building. It’s only the third time the building has been opened to the public in over a decade, so it’s a rare chance to check out the incredible site – and secure your next thrifted treasure.
Visit Aesop’s Queer Library
This year, Aesop is bringing back the beloved Aesop’s Queer Library for its sixth edition. Following hot on the heels of Pride Month each year, the Queer Library sees the fragrance and skin care brand transform its Soho shop into a free library. The takeover is a chance for the brand to highlight “the longstanding presence and value of queer voices in the UK”. During this time, the shelves are cleared, with soaps and perfumes replaced by 33 books by LGBTQIA+ authors. Visitors can choose one to take home for themselves, free of charge – no purchase required.

Sip on Cocktails in the City
Spirited cocktail festival, Cocktails in the City, returns this July (and August) to transform a historic private garden into a “vibrant village of pop-up cocktail bars”. It’s a chance to sip on perfectly-made drinks, from some of London’s most celebrated bartenders. And the drinks are just £10! There’s also silent disco, live music, pétanque, street food, workshops, and much more.

Celebrate South Asian Sounds
As part of its comprehensive, year-long programme of special events for its 75th anniversary, the Southbank Centre is hosting South Asian Sounds: a five-day celebration of South Asian music and performance. Pitbull is coming to town this July, with an enormous performance on the cards for Hyde Park British Summer Festival. And to pay tribute to his fans’ penchance for wearing bald caps in honour of his own shaved dome, he’s attempting to break a world record.
He’s inviting as many of the attendees as possible to wear bald caps, to will officially launch a Guinness World Record attempt for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps.
An ancient ship will be sailing into the city this July. Or, at least, a replica of an ancient ship. The Nao Victoria is a full-size replica of one of the ships from Magellan’s journey to circumnavigate the world in the early 1500s. And it’s docking in London this month. It’s a floating museum that guests can explore to find out what life was like on the momentous voyage.
Relax at the ‘Summer in the Square’ pop-up
Need to escape the hubbub of the city, but can’t get out of town? Then simply head on over to Marylebone, where the Summer in the Square pop-up has taken over a hidden garden. As you enjoy everything from free Wimbledon screenings to food pop-ups, wellness sessions, family activities, and more, you’ll forget you’re right in the heart of London!

Thailand Showcase brings the tastes and traditions of Thailand straight to London, allowing Londoners to have the Thai-m of their lives. The annual festival is organised by the Royal Thai Embassy and will feature over 50 vendors and exhibitors. There’s much more than just food on offer, too, with live entertainment, a marketplace, interactive cooking demonstrations, and more.
Flat Iron Square is quickly making a name for itself as one of the best places to watch live sports in the city. With 19 huge screens, a 16ft jumbotron, live DJs, and a buzzing party atmosphere, there’s nowhere quite like it! Join the mayhem at the following watch parties this July:

Catch a historic cricket match
July is shaping up to be a historic month for test cricket, as England plays India in the first-ever women’s Rothesay Test match. The match will run from July 10-13 at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground. It’s taking place exactly 50 years after Rachael Heyhoe Flint first led out an England Women’s team at the Ground, with Nat Sciver-Brunt leading out her England side at Lord’s.

The UK’s largest Japanese food and culture festival returns this July for a weekend dedicated to showcasing the very best that Japan has to offer. Visitors can enjoy all manner of food, drinks, workshops, and live performances. In total, there will be over 500 artists and exhibitors to check out, so maki sure you don’t mis(o) out.
Munch your way through a pizza festival
The UK’s Biggest Pizza Festival, Slice-O-Mania, will touch down in Richmond this summer with an enormous celebration of, you guessed it, pizzas. Expect wild, wacky, traditional, and regional pizzas from the country’s best slice-slingers, alongside live entertainment and top-notch cocktails from expert mixologists.

The London Transport Museum will be operating its wildly popular heritage vehicle outings this July. That means some very lucky Londoners will have the chance to hop aboard a beautifully restored vintage Tube train and take a trip back in time. A time with no Oyster cards, no Citymapper, and most certainly no underground 5g – can you even imagine?!
Chow down on wings
WingFest, the world’s largest chicken wing festival, returns to London this July with a bumper weekend of live music, entertainment, games, rides, and eating competitions. And, of course, TONS of chicken wings. It’s your chance to try the UK’s very best chicken wings, as they battle to be crowned the best in the country. With 45 street food traders, restaurants, and BBQ teams serving up their wares, the festival expects to serve a whopping 500,000 chicken wings.

Have a ball at Bubble Planet
Bubble Planet is a wild and wonderful immersive experience that surrounds visitors with bubbles of all sorts. Journey through themed rooms and across fantastical landscapes, and even step aboard a hot air balloon flight simulator, as you explore the world (planet?) of bubbles with your five senses.
History, comics, adventure, and zany antics will combine this July into an adventurous day out at Hampton Court Palace when the Beano Havoc trail takes over the palace grounds. As guests explore the grounds, they’ll meet historical figures and iconic comic book characters ranging from Henry VIII to Elizabeth I, as well as Dennis and Gnasher from Beanotown.

Have a gay old time at the London Queer Fringe Festival 2026
A month-long festival celebrating queer comedy and performance will touch down in London this July. Unlike other fringe festivals, though, the London Queer Fringe Festival 2026 will have a dedicated queer fringe hub at The Queer Comedy Club. The venue will be taken over, all month long, by “live comedy, theatre, drag, spoken word and genre-bending performance”.

Have a laugh at the London Clown Festival
The London Clown Festival returned this year for its 10th edition of “contemporary clowning, physical comedy and visually inventive performance from artists across the UK and internationally.” But these acts don’t fit the stereotype of a traditional circus clown. Instead, “the festival focuses on contemporary clown and physical performance rooted in comedy, theatre, bouffon, audience interaction and absurdity.”

Did you know you can do special yoga sessions at one of London’s most stunning museums? The Natural History Museum hosts regular yoga sessions where you can stretch your way into downward dog beneath Hope the whale. It just might be the prettiest place to do yoga in the city.

Each of the 9 mini golf holes – all of which are playable – has been designed by an artist, and confronts and disrupts any expectations you might have of the game.

Attend an after-hours acoustic concert at the Natural History Museum
There’s something delightful about after-hours events in a museum. Exploring the usually busy halls and living out our own ‘Night at the Museum’ adventures is truly thrilling. And a special event at the Natural History Museum by Sofar Sounds allows you to do that and take in some stunning live music.
The one-night-only event kicks off with drinks next to Fern the Diplodocus in the Museum’s Evolution Garden. Then it’s inside to Hintze Hall for an awe-inspiring evening of acoustic music from cinematic musical project Entropies.

🥳 Little Neon Door – London’s ‘house party’ bars get a new opening in East London with a two-storey Shoreditch loft venue with five immersive, vibrant rooms. (Opens July 6)

Cool down with some bonkers ice cream
Big KId Ice Cream is inviting Londoners to cool down from the heat, this July, with a bonkers limited-time ice cream flavour. Specially crafted for their birthday, they’re launching a Cream Cheese & Dill Pickle Ice Cream. It’s available for just one month, from July 9 onwards.
Other weird and wacky flavours include Tonka Tres Leches, Watermelon Turkish Delight, McDonalds Fries, Marmite On Toast, and more.
