Over the last few years, you may well have noticed an activity people like to engage in at Pitbull concerts: donning the bald caps. And after Greg James floated an idea of breaking a record on BBC Radio 1, Hyde Park British Summer Festival has run with it, and will officially launch a Guinness World Record attempt for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps.
It’s going to need a lot more than one, two, three, four (uno, dos, tres, cuatro), but with a crowd as large as a full-to-the-brim Hyde Park gig, there’s every chance this’ll be smashed with ease. On that night, Pitbull will need you to Give Me Everything – not a hair on your head in sight, people.

Pitbull plays London’s Hyde Park on Friday, July 10, 2026, with support from Kesha, so if you’re attending, you’ve got a load of time to procure your bald cap (and pick out the right style of shades). Make sure to practice yelling you’re best TIMBERRRR in advance.
Speaking on the record attempt in a press release, Pitbull said: “Guinness Book of World Records, get ready for all the Bald-E’s that’ll be putting it down on July 10th at Hyde Park. Every time you put on that bald cap, you know you’re about to have the time of your lives. We appreciate the love, the commitment, and the support. More than anything, we just want to say thank you. Dale!”
Last year, Pitbull played three nights in the O2 – with two of them coming in June after his February concert proved so popular (and full of bald caps). He told the BBC that it makes him ‘very, very happy’ to look into the crowds and see people dressed like him.
He said in the same interview: “Every time I’m at a show, I let them know that when you put on a bald cap, I hope you’re ready to have the time of your lives – it feels deeper than just music.”
You heard the man – time to don the caps and sing along to his back catalogue of HITS. There are even still tickets to the show available, so if you want to be part of the bald world record, you know what to do.
