Think of the Natural History Museum, and a few things might spring to mind. Perhaps you think of the iconic suspended whale in the main hall, Hope the whale. Or perhaps your first thought is of a unique specimen you spotted on your last visit. Maybe the museum brings to mind the special behind-the-scenes tours you can take. But I’d be willing to bet your first thought wouldn’t be yoga. But that’s one of the many unique activities the venue offers. Yup, that’s right, you can do yoga at the Natural History Museum!
The NHM offers both morning and evening yoga sessions – so you can stretch it out beneath Hope the whale before the day begins, or after a long, stressful day. The sessions are “inspired by the Museum’s connections with the natural world.”
Yoga at the Natural History Museum
The yoga classes are suitable for all experience levels, so anyone can stretch it out in the stunning location. You do, however, have to bring your yoga mat. But even if you don’t have one, you surely know someone who can lend you theirs for the day!
If you join the morning sessions, the yoga class is followed by a live gong bath and exclusive access to one of the museum’s galleries while it is closed to the public. There are morning sessions scheduled for each month. The evening sessions, however, run less regularly – so act fast to secure a spot, or keep an eye out for future dates.

Sessions run on the following dates:
Sunday, April 26 – morning session(sold out)- Monday, May 11 – evening session
- Sunday, May 17 – morning session
- Sunday, June 28 – morning session
- Sunday, July 26 – morning session
- Sunday, August 23 – morning session
