So you’ve planned your very best fancy dress costume but you have absolutely no idea where to go to flaunt it? Let us help you out…
1. The Walking Dead at Shaka Zulu, Camden
You’d better watch out, The Walking Dead are about! Enter Shaka Zulu at your peril and experience a mock up zombie apocalypse. There’ll be giant statues, delicious cocktails and DJs spinning R&B and club classics. Although boogying to a bit of Beyonce doesn’t sound particularly terrifying, we reckon you’ll be in for a surprise…
Friday 28th October, 10pm – 2am. You can buy tickets here.
2. Fright Night at Opal Bar, Embankment
Step into the darkness of Opal Bar and get ready for the fright of your life (and this time we don’t mean hearing the price of a drink). It’s location makes it one to remember, as it boasts beautiful views across the Thames. The DJs will be taking requests all night so you can ask for all the Bieber you want… or maybe a bit of Marilyn Manson if you’re sticking to the Halloween spirit. Don’t forget your fangs or your fake blood, because you won’t be let in without making at least a small attempt at dressing up.
Saturday 29th October, 10pm – 3am (Last entrance 2am). You can buy tickets here.
3. Twisted Circus at Rah Rah Room, Piccadilly
From the very minute you arrive, you should expect the unexpected. Keep a lookout for the Bride of Frankenstein and surprises from every angle. Watch the weird and wonderful acts unfold, including an aerialist and a human blockhead (that’s a guy hammering a nail into his nose… who wouldn’t want to see that?!). Be warned that this event has a habit of selling out (it has done every year since 2012) so nab your tickets quick!
Saturday 29th October, 10pm – 4am (Last entrance 2:30am). You can buy tickets here.
4. Pandora’s Box Halloween Special at Gilgamesh, Camden
“Pandora’s box contains all the evils of the world, once opened it can never be closed.” Head to Gilgamesh Camden as they open Pandora’s Box and unleash the 7 deadly sins; Pride, Envy, Wrath, Gluttony, Lust, Sloth and Greed. Watch live freak shows as you sip on cocktails… what could be better than that combo, eh? Er, actually… maybe the fact that Girls Aloud and JLS have been there before? Yeah, you heard.
Saturday 29th October, 10pm – 2am (Last entrance 1am). You can buy tickets here.
5. The Purge at Blueberry, Shoreditch
For those of you hoping to survive the annual Purge, we suggest heading to Blueberry in Shoreditch for an All American evening of ping pong, beer pong and, of course, the ever-important red cups. Again, fancy dress is compulsory, so dress to terrify.
Saturday 29th October, 9pm – 3am. You can buy tickets here.
6. The Halloween Takeover at 28 West, Canary Wharf
For a mix of gore and glamour (an oxymoron if ever we heard one) we suggest you head to 28 West for XclusiveTouch’s Halloween Takeover. Located on the beautiful Canary Wharf riverfront, it’s a glamorous club night with a spooky twist.
Saturday 29th October, 10pm – 3am (Last entrance: 2am). You can buy tickets here.
7. Trapped in Wonderland at Cafe 1001, Shoreditch
Alice has turned bad and the Cheshire cat is even creepier than the one in the Tim Burton movie. There will be lots of odd Wonderland props and a bloody tea party (as in it’s actually covered in blood, we’re not just bad-mouthing for no reason). Hop down the rabbit hole and get trapped in Wonderland for a 7 hour dancing extravaganza. Arrive early for an exclusive invite to the Mad Hatter’s tea party, where you’ll get complimentary cocktails made by the Hatter’s minions!
Saturday 29th October, 9pm – 4am (Last entrance 2am). You can buy tickets here.
8. Pirates of the River Thames Boat Party at Tower Millennium Pier
Ahoy there me hearties! Venture on a terrifying journey along the Thames this Halloween and help hunt for London’s hidden treasures. Captain Jack Sparrow will be your host for the evening and will obviously expect you to join him on the rum — so hop on board The Dutch Master and get ready for a booze cruise like no other!
Sunday 30th October, 7pm – 11:30pm (Last entrance 7:30pm). You can buy tickets here.
9. TURNT Halloween Party at The QUBE Project, Victoria
For those of you brave enough to go out on a school night (it is actual Halloween after all), this Halloween Party at QUBE is for you. The QUBE Project is an iconic South London club venue, with one of the best sound systems in the UK. There’ll be a top line-up of DJs and, obviously, lots of spooky goings-on.
Monday 31st October, 10pm – 4am. You can buy tickets here.
