June 1 & 3: BEYONCÉ
Following the wildly successful release of her seventh studio album, RENAISSANCE – which won her her latest Grammys – BEYONCÉ is back on UK soil for the first time in six years for what has been proven to be one hell of an incredible gig. Expect to hear hits like ‘Break My Soul’, ‘Summer Renaissance’ and ‘Cuff It’ while you dance to your heart’s content at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

June 1: Ben Howard
English singer-songwriter, musician and composer Ben Howard first burst onto the scene back in 2008 with his debut EP ‘Games In The Dark’, and he has since won himself two Brit Awards and an Ivor Novello to boot too. His fifth LP, ‘Is it?’ comes out later this month and is highly-anticipated by both fans and music critics alike. He’s playing the prestigious Royal Albert Hall for what promises to be a knockout show.

June 1: Kate Nash
“Thursday night, everything’s fine, except you’ve got that look in your eye”… we all know the rest. Kate Nash from ‘Foundations’ fame is back playing for one night only in the London Bridge hotspot OMEARA. She released two singles back in 2022, ‘Wasteman’ and ‘Imperfect’, so chances are that she will have many other surprises up her sleeves!

June 2: Jake Shears
Jake Shears from ‘Scissor Sisters’ fame is back baby – this time without his bandmates. His LP ‘Last Man Dancing’ is full to the brim with bangers (we’ve heard it on the grapevine), and he’s releasing it this June. It features none other than Kylie and even Jane Fonda (!) and we for one cannot wait to hear it. See him at Village Underground – if tickets are still available of course.

June 3: Burna Boy
Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu MFR, known professionally as Burna Boy, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer who first rose to fame back in 2012 with the release of his lead single ‘Like To Party’ off his first LP ‘L.I.F.E.’. Since then, he’s gone from strength to strength, culminating in his latest LP ‘Love Damini’ back in 2022 and the gem of a single ‘Last Last’. He’s playing the London Stadium in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on June 3, and this is one you really don’t want to miss out on.

June 5: Adam Lambert
Since 2009, Adam Lambert has sold over three million albums and five million singles worldwide – not to mention he has featured as the lead singer in Queen too since 2016. His fifth album as a solo artist, ‘High Drama’, is released later this year, and in anticipation he’s doing a show at the magnificent Royal Albert Hall. Support comes in the form of Benedict Cork.

June 5: Simply Red
Now this band surely needs no introduction. Since the release of their debut studio album ‘Picture Book’, they have had ten songs reach top 10 in the UK Singles Chart, including ‘Holding Back the Years’ and ‘If You Don’t Know Me by Now’, and have had 13 albums to boot too. Their latest – entitled ‘Time’, came out just last month and was met with critical acclaim. They’re playing the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire this month for what promises to be a fantastic show of all the hits.

June 8: Sister Sledge
“We are family, I got all my brothers and sisters with me”… you know the rest. If you’re wanting to get your dancing shoes on and listen to some Disco, then you could do worse than coming to this upbeat show. Banging hits ‘We’re Lost In Dancing’, ‘He’s The Greatest Dancer’, ‘Thinking Of You’ will no doubt feature, and they’re also playing the mighty Royal Albert Hall. Winner, winner.

June 9: Hot Chip
“Over and over and over”… you’ll no doubt want to hear this set over and over again that’s for sure. Hot Chip are back in business, and they’re playing none other than KOKO in Camden this month on June 9. Expect all the hits and some of their new material too – bring your dancing shoes.

June 10: Fatboy Slim
Norman Quentin Cook, also known by his stage name Fatboy Slim, is a man that really needs no introduction. After all, he’s had all the hits like ‘Praise You’, ‘Right Here, Right Now’, ‘The Rockafeller Skank’ and ‘Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat’. Always someone who offers a night out you won’t forget, he’s playing the legendary Ally Pally on Friday June 10. Get ready to get your rave on.

June 13: Wu-Tang Clan & NAS
Another one of the best gigs in London here, the Wu-Tang Clan are a Hip-Hop collective from NYC whose members include RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Grammy and American Music Award nominees, they’re really worth a watch so you don’t want to miss when they play in the behemoth that is the O2 Arena in Greenwich. Oh – and none other than NAS will be joining them. Winner, winner!

June 13, 14, 16 & 17: Harry Styles
Fresh off his win for the best album of the year at the 2023 Grammys, Harry Styles must be on a bit of a high – and who can blame him with three of the highest-selling albums of all time, film roles, Vogue covers and more? He’s so popular in fact that he’s got four – yep four! – different nights on at the behemoth that is the Wembley Stadium. So get ready to sing your heart out!

June 14 & 15: Hans Zimmer
Hans Zimmer is a name that needs no introduction for even the most casual fan of cinema. He’s been moulding our musical experiences through film and tv since as far back as the 1980s, and has had his hand in almost all realms of music, providing his musical wizardry on the likes of everything from Pirates of the Caribbean and The Crown. This month, his influential works will be played by the man himself at one of London’s most distinctive venues – the O2 Arena. It’s currently sold out, but you can keep your eye on their website for further details.

June 16: Tenacious D
Formed by the comedy film legends that are Jack Black and Kyle Glass, Tenacious D have a big cult following – and it’s easy to see why. Winners of a Grammy back in 2015 for the ‘best metal performance’, they’re not only funny but are also good – I mean this is from one of the guys who was in the School of Rock after all. They’ve just released a new single and are playing the O2 Arena in Greenwich on June 16 – rock on indeed.

June 16, 17 & 18: Arctic Monkeys
Playing a run of warm-up gigs before they headline the Friday night at the iconic Glastonbury Festival later this month, the Arctic Monkeys are sure to put on a show. Their latest album – 2022’s ‘The Car – swept the board with glowing reviews, and featured on many ‘best of’ lists at the tail end of the year. Expect to hear songs off this LP as well as many of their old bangers too – ‘Mardy Bum’ anyone?

June 17, 18, 25 & 26: SZA
Now who doesn’t like SZA am I right? The 33-year-old already has two LPs and 16 hit singles under her belt. The latest of these, entitled ‘SOS’, rushed to the top of the Billboard chart and won itself rave reviews – as well as four bloody dates at the mighty O2 Arena too! Woman of the moment Raye is supporting, so this is gonna be one hell of a night.

June 21 & 22: Jack Johnson
Another one of the best gigs in London for June here. After all, it’s officially Summer so who doesn’t wanna listen to a bit of ‘Banana Pancakes’ hey?! His latest album (his eighth) came out during the June of last year, and he’s now on the road to tour it – playing the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith over the course of two nights. So kick back, relax and get into the Summer frame of mind.

June 21: The Black Keys
Even though they’ve ruled out ever playing Glastonbury again due to the ‘insulting offer’ they were given – guys, do you know how legendary that place is – you can catch The Black Keys at the 02 Arena in Greenwich later on this month. Expect hits from the Grammy Award-winning ‘El Camino’ as well as stuff off their latest album ‘Dropout Boogie’.

June 23: Romare
Now, if you’re looking for more than just a gig and are instead looking for a night on the town, then you’d better head to the Colour Factory in Hackney Wick on June 23. Romare – AKA Archie Fairhust – will be spinning the decks with his sweet Electronic and Jazz-infused beats. This is one to get your rave on at.

June 25: Goo Goo Dolls
Our penultimate entry on this roundup of the best gigs in London roundup may be best remembered for their 1998 smash hit ‘Iris’ – which featured in the hit film City of Angels and the TV show One Tree Hill. But they’ve done more than just that one song – they’ve had 14 different albums thank you very much. The latest, entitled ‘Chaos In Bloom’, came out just last year and it was met with significant buzz. If you’re wanting to catch them in the flesh, then make sure you head to the Eventim Apollo on June 25.

June 28 & 29: M83
Rounding off this list of the best gigs in London is none other than M83 – a French electronic music group who seriously hit the big time when their hit track ‘Midnight City’ was featured in loads of TV shows and adverts. With a Grammy nomination under their belt and their latest album ‘Fantasy’ having just been released, they’re gonna be the ones to watch this Summer.
