Reopening in Brixton Village this Spring as the rain hopefully begins to ease, Lost In Brixton is set to be the hottest spot in South London once again this year. One of the most recent ventures from the team behind The Prince, Pergola Paddington, and Pergola Olympia, this hidden space right above Brixton Market had never been seen or used by the public before opening its doors back in Summer 2019. And it’s now undergone a pretty major refurb, offering punters a brand new extension, fresh interiors and delicious drinks and dishes to boot.
So what’s new?
The popular rooftop bar has expanded into three original railway arches, which were previously unused. This add an extra bar to the venue and space for a further 100 party goers. That brings the total tally up to over 500 across the whole venue! If that’s not enough space for you and all your mates, and then some, then nowhere is going to be big enough!
The rooftop bar is still accessed via a secret staircase in a corner of the market, but it’s got a whole new look this time. Taking its cues from Santiago de Cuba on the vibrant, Caribbean island of Cuba, you can expect bright murals bursting with colour decking the walls, plentiful foliage and beautiful rustic touches that’ll really make you think you’re actually in Cuba. You’ll all but forget that you’re actually in Brixton!
Launching today (March 31) from 5pm, the opening weekend will have a series of parties featuring some pretty epic DJs, a live trombonist and plenty of new cocktails including a series of rum-based libations from Cuban rum brand Ron Santiago de Cuba. You’ll also be able to enjoy delicious street food from all your favourite Brixton market traders, delivered right to your table. Winner, winner.
And that open roof you spy in the pictures? It opens and closes, changing with the seasons. A necessary consideration in London where it sometimes feels like we get all four seasons in one day!
Lost in Brixton is set to be your new favourite summer haunt. And you’re sure to keep on coming back, even when the cold weather returns. But that’s a while away yet – for now, we’re dreaming of rum cocktails, sunny days, and rooftop vibes!
