Especially in Covent Garden, which let’s face it is one of our cutest corners to escape to (more on that later). If your work:life ratio is erring on the side of Anne Hathaway à la Devil Wears Prada and you need some clarity, why not go stick your head in the clouds. Not literally of course, but the beautiful new art installation by Charles Pétillion will certainly take your breath away.
Made up of 100,000 illuminated white balloons, the project (enititled ‘Heartbeat’) is part of the upcoming London Design Festival and is Pétillion’s first public art piece.
Of them, he says;
“Their [the balloons] goal is to change the way in which we see the things we live alongside each day without really noticing them.”
And here’s me thinking it was about what happens when you pour in all the bubble bath.
