If you like your cheese boards to look like they’ve jumped straight from the pages of a glossy magazine; you’ve probably heard of GRAPE & Fig. They’ve been trailblazing the grazing board hype for the past few years with they’re sensational spreads, and now they’ve set up shop in the capital city. But this time, they’re letting the customers take the wheel. That’s right, dear fromage-fanatics: a build-your-own cheese box and charcuterie bar has landed in London.
The shiny new spot has popped up inside Brityard (a new space on Regent Street that showcases homegrown brands) and focusses on the finest British cheese and charcuterie produce. Starting from just £12.50 a box; all you have to do is choose the size you’d like, pick your base and your condiments and the experts will take it from there, helping you craft the perfect personalised cheese box.
Run by sisters Toria and Catherine Smith; GRAPE & Fig has become a viral phenomenon and a celebrity favourite, renowned for their fuss-free, high quality, great value, and aesthetically show-stopping spreads.
One half of the dynamic duo, Toria Smith, originally brought the concept of grazing over to the UK after seeing a gap in the market whilst planning her wedding. Instead of stuffy, over-priced canapes, she wanted a four-metre long grazing board, filled with the very best cheese, cured meats, antipasti, dips and accompaniments. So, that’s exactly what she created. In 2019, Catherine jumped on board and, let’s just say, we can now consider the gap in the market completely, utterly and deliciously filled.
The idea of creating the build-your-own bar has been in the works since 2022, and it’s finally been made into a reality. How brie-lliant?
We all know that if you want something done right, you’ve got to do it yourself. And so it’s pretty darn convenient that GRAPE & Fig are letting us Londoners do exactly that. Finally – a DIY project I can get on board with. Just make sure you cheese wisely.
