The Secret London Guide To London’s Prettiest Streets

share on:

Take a stroll down the cutest crescents, most ravishing roads, the loveliest lanes and most magnificent mews in London.

Insta opportunities abound on these pretty London streets. We bet the residents on these roads are getting rather tired of all the bloggers taking ‘outfit of the day’ shots on their doorsteps.

1. Chalcot Crescent

This north London beauty is a short stroll from Primrose Hill (and the lovely Primrose Bakery) and it’s filled with pretty pastel-coloured townhouses. You’ll find it at NW1 8YD.

2. Bywater Street

This Chelsea street is the kind of place we’d buy a house if we won a ridiculous lottery jackpot. It’s just off King’s Road and only a 10 minute stroll to Sloane Square, so it’s a perfect one to have a nosy at if you’re exploring Chelsea. It’s at SW3 4XD.

3. Conduit Mews

This place is just moments away from Paddington Station, yet you’d never know it. An oasis of calm in west London and it’s pretty as a picture. Find it at W2 3RE

4. Bathurst Mews

Another charming mews next to Paddington Station, but this one’s got a little less pastel toned paint and a little more greenery. Since 1835 there has been a working stables located inside the Mews and to this day you’ll still see horses trotting in and out of the Hyde Park Stables. Find it at W2 2SB.

5. Ennismore Mews

If you’re ever wandering round Harrods and think to yourself “I need a bit of peace and quiet” then we know the perfect place. Ennismore Mews is just a ten minute stroll away yet it looks more like a street in a quaint country village than a spot in central London. Find it at SW7 1AP.

6. Holland Park Mews

This one is just off Holland Park Avenue and it might just be our dream London house location. In just a five minute walk you can be in Holland Park’s beautiful Kyoto Garden. Just look.

And five minutes the other way you’ll be at Holland Park Station. Seriously this picturesque mews couldn’t be more perfect if it tried. Find it at W11 3SP

7. Kelly Street

You’ll find this quirky north London street in colourful Kentish Town. Wonder along the row of brightly coloured houses and pick your favourite shade. Find it at NW1 8PG.

8. Hillgate Street

Another street perfectly set up for a swift Instagram photo shoot on a wander round upmarket Notting Hill. Even the bikes there seem to match the pastel-hued townhouses. Find it at W8 7SP.

9. Neal’s Yard

Ok, kind of not technically a road, but it’s so pretty we had to include it. Here you’ll find loads of food options hidden away from Covent Garden. And you’ll definitely want to snap a picture or two. Just look how pretty! Find it at WC2H 9DP.

10. Lancaster Road

Lancaster Road is another rainbow-coloured Notting Hill beauty. Definitely worth a little wander down here if you’re making the rounds round Notting Hill. Find it at W11.

Lily fell in love with London after visiting the Natural History Museum on a day-trip from Bristol (aged four) and she’s never looked back. She’s a sucker for smashed avo’ and poached egg on toast, and she just can’t help herself from frequently posting pictures of her food on Instagram.
