You’ll find us spending every waking minute outside while it’s still sunny.
Good news: The weather gods are promising that September should give us some more warm days! Possibly not the 30+ degrees of July but we’ll settle for whatever sunshine we can get…
And with more blissfully sunny days, comes more reasons to celebrate. PIMM’S might be our ‘official’ drink of choice for summer but hooray with more blissfully good weather ahead , come more reasons to celebrate and spend some time outside with a PIMM’S in hand.
We’ve rounded up all of our favourite PIMM’S picks from summer 2018 and we’re determined to see how many we can revisit before the summer is (un)officially over.
Barge East
Sail away to Hackney Wick to enjoy a delicious PIMM’S while sitting by the water. Barge East combines everything we know and love about a typical summer evening: plenty of fairy lights, delicious food and a great atmosphere. It’s our top spot for enjoying a PIMM’s and watching the sun go down. This barge was created by three lifelong friends, who got together only last year and bought a 117-year-old Dutch barge to open one of London’s finest outdoor bar and kitchens. Whitepost Lane, Hackney Wick, E9 5EN
Watery spots
Some more Instagrammable picks to keep you happy: These watery spots might very well be the end-of-summer solution for you. These PIMM’S-perfect hangouts are dotted all around London, meaning you’ll have a nearby choice no matter whereabouts in the city you’re based. Pick your favourite and head there after work for a final round of summery fun. All of the details are here.
Shuffle Club
If you’ve never spent an afternoon shuffling, then Shuffle Club London should definitely be on your must-visit list. With inside and outside lanes (so even if you miss the sunshine you’re all good), it’s the perfect spot to order a pizza and a PIMM’S and get ever so slightly competitive. Choose from playing on the floor-board or on the table, depending on your level of expertise. We can’t promise it won’t get a little heated – but that’s all just part of the fun! 5 Ebor St, Shoreditch, London, E1 6AW
Relaxing on London’s terraces
Some of these terraces have gone above and beyond with their PIMM’S choices this summer and we can’t get enough of it. Our top pick is The Refinery, which offered a limited edition PIMM’S afternoon tea over summer. Some other great suggestions include The Aviary in Finsbury Square, Golden Bee in Shoreditch and The Terrace at Lowndes Bar & Kitchen, Belgravia.
Underbelly Festival Southbank
This Southbank-based festival features everything from comedy to performers and one of London’s largest outdoor bars. Here, you’ll find both the PIMM’s No. 1 Cup and the PIMM’S Spritz on offer. In short, it’s absolutely somewhere that needs to be visited for a PIMM’S before it wraps up until next year. Underbelly Festival is free to visit but tickets should be booked in advance for the shows in order to avoid disappointment. Belvedere Road Coach Park, London, SE1 8XX
