London is having a full-on heart attack.
You may have guessed that we ❤️ London. We aren’t the only ones either, judging by the giant love hearts that have started appearing over London this week. But this is no soppy Valentine’s stunt – this is an effort by designer Anya Hindmarch, in honour of London Fashion Week. Hindmarch told the Evening Standard that she was “full of love for the city, so I decided I wanted to create a surprise love letter to the city”. This sweet tribute, named Chubby Hearts, is taking place all over the city, including Wellington Arch in Hyde Park.
The hearts have also squeezed into Covent Garden…
Checked in at The Ritz…
Launched at Granary Square…
Stolen the show at Westminster Cathedral…
Commandeered the boards in Piccadilly Circus.
Been hanging out in Southwark…
And taken to the skies above Battersea Power Station.
There are 29 hearts filling the city, and they’ll be here until February 20th. The hearts will pop up in different locations as London Fashion Week gets under way, and helpfully, there’s a map to keep track of them. Alternatively, follow #CHUBBYhearts on Instagram to see more love from above.
