London’s iconic black cab will soon be seen on the streets of Amsterdam as a new electric model is exported overseas for the first time.
The London Taxi Company – the lovely chaps who put the black cabs on our streets – is undergoing a major rebrand, and they’re going for an Electric Feel.
While we might currently associate black cabs specifically with London and the UK, soon enough we might view them as being an intrinsic part of the canal-side city. There’s nothing more Dutch than clogs, tulips and black cabs…
The good news is we’re all going to be rocking down to Electric Avenue before long, because the powers that be (aka TfL) have decreed that from 2018, all new black cabs in London must be electric powered.
The even better news is that while the standard London cab as we know it only seats five passengers, the newer model will have room for six people. An infinitely more useful number in our opinion.
