Summertime is in full swing in London. Isn’t it time for a Pimm’s?
Check out one of these relaxing terraces at one of Drake & Morgan’s fine City bars, perfect for a pitcher of the good stuff.
1) The Refinery, Bankside
Top of the pops is The Refinery, just a short walk from the Tate Modern, which is going all-out for Pimm’s this summer with a themed terrace, stripy deckchairs and a big screen for summer sporting events. There’ll be classic serves from behind the bar, like the Pimm’s No. 1, Pimm’s Spritz and Pimm’s No. 6, while the fruit cup also makes its way into their afternoon tea menu, with a Pimm’s Eton Mess and scones with Pimm’s-infused jam on offer. 110 Southwark St, SE1 0TF.
2) Devonshire Terrace, Liverpool Street
This stylish courtyard is a haven of calm, despite being just over the road from Liverpool Street station, while a glass roof means rain doesn’t need to stop play if the drizzle does its thing. Devonshire Square, London EC2M 4WY.
3) The Allegory, Shoreditch
This Shoreditch garden offers the classic Drake & Morgan menu of sharing platters, seasonal salads and modern European mains; naturally, a Pimm’s Spritz is also on the menu. Spiffing! 1a Principal Place, Worship Street, EC2A 2FA.
4) The Happenstance, St. Paul’s
If those columns look familiar, it’s because you’re just the other side of the courtyard from the First Dates restaurant. At the Happenstance, however, there are substantially fewer cameras, just nice views of St. Paul’s Cathedral! 10 Paternoster Square, EC4M 7DX.
5) The Listing, Cannon Street
Like the other Drake & Morgan venues, you can also pop here for a spot of afternoon tea. And it’s open until late Mon-Fri. Pop along for a Pimm’s No. 1 Cup.
Cannon Green, Bush Lane, EC4R 0AA.
6) The Pagination, Canary Wharf
If you’re over in Canary Wharf, head to The Pagination where you can enjoy their roomy terrace by the riverside. Pimm’spirational! 9 Cabot Square, E14 4EB.
