8 Gorgeous London Restaurants That Have Transformed For The Winter

These beautiful restaurants in London are all dressed up and ready for the festive season.

We’ve often said that autumn is the prettiest month to be in London, but winter gives it a pretty good run for its money. Each year, we’re lucky enough to witness some fabulous festive pop-ups and some seriously lovely Christmas lights – but here’s a list of restaurants to add to your ever-growing list of places to visit this season:

1. Coq D’Argent, City

Lodge d’Argent is back for the winter, and it’s offering visitors a cosy escape from the hustle and bustle. Filled with fur and festive drinks, this alpine rooftop launches on November 21. There will be two chalet huts available for private hire* and a ‘Ski Cube’, which will allow guests to step inside and experience a vintage show reel of ski clips. Find it at 1 Poultry, EC2R 8EJ. 

*they can accommodate up to eight people and there’s a £250 minimum spend.

2. Coppa Club, Tower Bridge

Coppa Club’s beautiful perspex capsules offer crystal clear views of Tower Bridge and the Shard, all while keeping your squad satisfyingly snug. They’ve once again welcomed sheepskin rugs, fluffy blankets and twinkling lights, and the menu will be filled with the same reasonably priced, reasonably tasty grub. There’ll also be hot gin cocktails from Sipsmith, making this the epitome of festive. Unfortunately the igloos are all booked up until January, so you’ll have to count on showing up and getting lucky. Find it at 3 Three Quays Walk, Lower Thames Street, EC3R 6AH. 3. Dalloway Terrace, Fitzrovia

Dalloway Terrace are partial to a seasonal makeover, but their winter do is always the most eagerly awaited. This year they’ve added a touch of pink to their floral fancies, and the result is pretty special. Find it at 16-22 Great Russell St, Fitzrovia, WC1B 3NN. (Read more about it here.) 

4. Camino, Bankside

Cosy up with a blanket and a warming tipple outside on Camino’s lovely winter terrace. The pop-up bar, adorned with twinkling lanterns, will be serving up festive hot serves from Sipsmith, including Mulled Sloe Gin, Hot Gin-gerbread, and classic Hot G&Ts. Find it at 5 Canvey Street, SE1 9AN.

5. ULI, Notting Hill

Not content with a tiny bit of tinsel, ULI has transformed into a winter wonderland. Sit within their beautiful heated terrace, adorned with foliage and festive baubles, and tuck into delicious Chinese, Thai, Malay and Singaporean cuisine. Find it at 5 Ladbroke Road, W11 3PA. 

6. The Ivy Chelsea Garden

This ever-adorned west London spot has transformed into a giant gingerbread house for the winter. They’ve covered their entire exterior in multi-coloured sweets, candy canes and Christmas tree decorations. And that’s not all! Adding to the theme, guests can also enjoy a limited-edition Gingerbread Espresso Martini when they’re inside. Find it at 195 -197 King’s Road, Chelsea, SW3 5EQ. 

7. Sipping Room, Canary Wharf

The Sipping Room’s cosy igloos are back, and they’re perfect for filling your face with festive food and drinks with your friends. Snuggle up in a blanket beneath twinkling lights and sip on mulled wine or a seasonal cocktail – it’ll feel like Christmas before you know it. West India Quay, 16 Hertsmere Road, Canary Wharf, E14 4AX.

8. Bluebird Chelsea

Bluebird Chelsea’s courtyard is getting transformed into a Narnia-esque wonderland, with three heated wooden chalets. You’ll walk through frosted trees, fur rugs and a wardrobe to reach the perfect festive menu, including fondue, apple pie and boozy hot chocolate. The chalets will be kitted out with velvet, fur, festive wreaths and twinkling lights, and can each be booked for eight people. Find it at 350 King’s Road, Chelsea, SW3 5UU.
