Getting up early for work can be worth it, particularly with sunrises like these. The sky blazed a rich pinky-red this morning. If you weren’t up in time to see it, one of our favourite London photographers, James Burns (londonfromtherooftops.com), captured it spectacularly.
James’s most recent project, London From the Rooftops, which he’s been working on over the last few years, aims to capture our city in all its glory. He was inspired as a teenager; growing up on a council estate, he listened and watched as underground music took off on pirate radio stations and grew up through London’s cracks. His photos aim to capture this inherent characteristic of London – it’s cultural diversity.
