When Thomas Rees and his boyfriend, Joshua Bradwell, were told that their hand-holding was inappropriate whilst in a Sainsbury’s local branch in Hackney, the LGBT community were quick to respond. A ‘big gay kiss’ was organised in protest last week, which saw around 200 people turn up at the Sainsbury’s branch on Saturday and show each other a bit of love.

Sainsbury’s showed a bit of love back, by laying out biscuits and water for the protestors. This kissathon stuff is thirsty business, after all.
