Por onde mais poderíamos começar? O Cheese Bar, em Camden, é a casa permanente dos amigos amantes de queijo por detrás da sensação da comida de rua de Londres, o Cheese Truck. Sete dias por semana, a equipa oferece um menu conciso de queijo com cerca de vinte pratos. 2. La Fromagerie
La Fromagerie tem três locais encantadores em Londres, e cada um deles tem cafés/restaurantes anexados que servem pratos com produtos das suas lojas. Dependendo do local, pode ir tomar o pequeno-almoço, almoçar ou jantar, e os menus incluem pratos como queijo de couve-flor, pappardelle fresco e camembert assado com uma baguete fresca e estaladiça. 3. Oli Baba’s
Sim, é a casa das famosas batatas fritas halloumi, ou seja, QUEIJO FRITO. Estes bebés têm tido muita atenção na internet, mas espere até os pôr na boca.

4. Pick & Cheese
No que diz respeito a restaurantes de queijo, o Pick & Cheese é uma maravilha. É isso mesmo, este excelente local serve aos londrinos esfomeados um fornecimento interminável de queijo, tudo entregue através de uma correia transportadora de 40 metros. Todos os tipos de pratos vão passar por si ao estilo sushi, incluindo ricota fresca com cerejas infundidas em xerez, ou coolea com um quebradiço de avelã. Os pratos são codificados por cores para indicar o preço.

5. Dirty Bones
Só há uma razão para os amantes de queijo visitarem o Dirty Bones, e essa razão é pelos seus petiscos relacionados com macarrão e queijo. Entre um monte de carne, encontrará o famoso Mac Daddy Burger (um pão brioche recheado com peito duplo e bife envelhecido a seco, coberto com costela curta de vaca, macarrão e queijo e molho de churrasco com café expresso), Mac Balls fritos cobertos com molho de malagueta doce e o seu brilhante macarrão cheddar envelhecido e fumado com pão ralado de parmesão. 6. Cheese At Leadenhall
No coração da cidade de Londres, escondido dentro do deslumbrante Leadenhall Market, está o Cheese at Leadenhall; uma loja independente de queijos especiais, um local para refeições casuais e um bar de vinhos e vinho do Porto, tudo num só lugar. Para além disso, organizam regularmente provas de queijo e de vinho para aqueles que estão interessados em explorar o mundo do queijo e do vinho.

7. Glória
Esta linda trattoria de Shoreditch está a transbordar de charme italiano, mas isso não será a única coisa que estará a transbordar depois de ter terminado a sua Gran Carbonara, servida dentro de uma enorme roda de queijo Pecorino.

8. O Orrery
Este restaurante bastante chique de Marylebone tem um menu adorável cheio de pratos de inspiração francesa, desde caranguejo com abacate wasabi e manga, até pato com cerejas, pastinacas e um molho Banyuls. No entanto, a melhor parte do menu tem de ser o queijo de quinta premiado, servido a partir de um enorme carrinho. Quando chega a altura do prato de queijo, pode escolher entre uma seleção de trinta queijos artesanais diferentes, todos selecionados pelo próprio “frommelier” do restaurante.

9. Beara Beara Café
O menu do Beara Beara é quase inteiramente focado no queijo. Pode escolher entre croissants com queijo, ovos mexidos com queijo, crumpets com queijo, tostas com queijo, cheesecake e, claro, o todo-poderoso Macaroni Cheese Scotch Egg: um ovo cozido mole envolto em queijo macarrão e coberto com pão ralado panko. Sinceramente, não conseguimos suportar a ideia de nunca os ter experimentado…

10. Champagne + Fromage
Oui nous savons, que combinação! Aconchegue-se num dos magníficos espaços da Champagne + Fromage para uma noite de queijos e charcutaria, tudo regado com um copo de champanhe de classe. Pode esperar muito camembert, comté e roquefort, além de carnes, tartines e outras deliciosas coisas francesas.

11. Chicoteado
Para algo doce, mas com queijo, a sua melhor aposta é o Whipped, onde tudo no menu tem cheesecake de uma forma ou de outra. Os cheesecakes “batidos” congelados são a estrela do espetáculo, com opções como o Red Velvet com pedaços de veludo vermelho, migalhas de veludo vermelho, coulis de framboesa e molho de chocolate branco; ou o Cookie Monster, que usa a sua receita de cheesecake de baunilha com migalhas de Biscoff, molho de caramelo, pedaços de favo de mel caseiro e uma placa de massa de biscoito caseiro.

12. Senhora das uvas
Queijo e vinho andam de mãos dadas, e este bar de vinhos em Covent Garden junta os dois na perfeição. Lady of the Grapes é um bar de vinhos dedicado à venda de vinhos de mulheres produtoras de vinho e, embora o seu menu de comida vá além do âmbito do queijo, é certamente o seu foco principal, pois servem uma seleção bastante extensa e até têm um fondue para dois.
