With Wimbledon kicking off earlier this week, Big Ben’s certainly struck Pimm’s O’Clock. Here are some cracking places in London to get your fix of the nation’s favourite fruity booze.
1. ROKA, Canary Wharf
Taking a Japanese twist on the classic British beverage, ROKA’s Canary Wharf branch are whipping up their Himawari Pimms Cup. The cocktail blends Pimm’s, Shochu, cucumber, mint, shiso and a summer berries soda and serves with an adorable melon tennis balls. The ROKA terrace overlooks the Summer Screens showing Wimbledon in Canada Square Park, which is perfect viewing for any Pimm’s drinker.

2. The London EDITION
From 12:00pm – 11:00pm, 8th to 10th July, the London EDITION will host a pop-up ping pong bar screening Wimbledon and The Euros Cup Final. They’ll not only be serving up quintessentially British Pimms cocktails, but will also have some naughty strawberry and cream alcoholic slushies on offer. (And some sarnie from Berners Tavern to go with them!). Ping pong players can get the courtside feeling as they relax in front of the big screen.

3. Blackheath Commons Foodies Festival
A huge food festival comes to South East London’s Blackheath Common between the 8th and 10th July. Alongside offering a wide range of London’s best street food, they’ll also be serving up cocktails and drinks from the Giant Pimm’s Teapot (!!!) and Mojito Ship. It all sounds like some kind of wonderful dream.

4. Queen Elizabeth Hall Roof Garden, Southbank Centre
Amidst the concrete architecture of the South Bank and up some bright yellow spiralling stairs, you’ll find this charming and relaxed oasis of raised greenery with sweeping views of the Thames. Within the garden there are over 150 types of wildflower- not ideal if you are a hayfever sufferer! – and ideal grassy spots for picnics. There’s also a little bar, from which you can order Pimm’s by the glass or jug.

5. Pub on the Park
On the edge of London Fields, Pub on the Park boasts a popular and vibrant beer garden with a traditional feel. On summer weekends, expect the tables to fill up pretty quickly. Don’t panic too much, though, as the garden often sprawls far onto the grass – so you can still get your Pimm’s fix and chill on the lawn. (See more of our favourite pubs in Hackney.)
19 Martello St, London E8 3PE
6. Crown and Shuttle
Bang on Shoreditch’s High Street, this old school boozer re-opened its doors a few years ago, after getting a lick of paint and some exposed brick decor (of course). What the Crown and Shuttle does offer – and you might not guess it from the outside – is a cracking pub garden. And what does a pub garden need? Pimm’s and plenty of alcohol soaked fruit. Because health.
