First 24 hours tubes…and now this! A GIANT ‘TRAVELATOR’ proposed to replace the London Underground’s Circle Line. Yup, you heard, A GIANT TRAVELATOR. Clearly the monotony of everyday commuting life has got the best of some poor designer (the architectural firm NJJB to be specific), who has devised a three-speed moving walkway and we REALLY hope this happens.
Design director Christian Coop described it as being a ‘considerably quicker, more enjoyable and healthier’ journey, and we just think FUN! Besides, we find the prospect of no more squishy-squashy tube carriages very moving indeed (see what we did there…)
Renowned for fairly whacky ideas (they also came up with the ‘shadowless skyscraper’…), NJJB claim that the moving walkway would allow people to travel faster than the existing Tubes, particularly as delays would become a distant thing of the past *aahh*.
No need to stop with one of these bad boys! Moving between speeds of a manageable 3mph and a whopping 15mph, just hop on and work your way up….while of course playing your best game of shoulder tap. And who can run in the opposite direction for the longest on the 15mph lane. And moonwalk mania.
Ok, we all know who here is going to get banned…
