London has certainly got talent and it will seriously blow you away this month. CircusFest, Motionhouse and Petersham House are putting on some truly unique performances. Whether you’re after ‘hold-your-breath’ worthy acrobatics or a totally immersive experiences, there’s some wonderful, out-of-the-ordinary talent on offer this April.
1. CircusFest 2016
[CircusFest Roundhouse]Although the limber and high-flying cast of CircusFest are taking their shows to various locations across London, the majority of performances will be at the Roundhouse, in Chalk Farm. From the 4th – 24th April, you can watch with open mouths at the scarily talented team. 2. The Realm of Shunga
From 20th – 30th April, Petersham Road are bringing us a series of intriguing events. You’ll be immersed into the Year 2121 as you first enter the forbidden labyrinth of secret rooms dedicated to music, food & drink, erotica and performance. This is no sit-down performance; think of it as a tour for the senses. It’s best to go with an open mind, as there will be a few unexpected surprises along the way. 3. Motionhouse: Broken
[Motionhouse]From the 6th – 9th April, the multi-media spectacle, Broken, comes to the Peacock Theatre in Holborn. The critically acclaimed performance showcases some of the most incredibly varied talents, including athletic contact work and hold-your-breath acrobatics. The set design and the innovative use of digital images are also outstanding. You’ll be held in suspense, much like the dancers as they elegantly find their way through a world of illusions.
