A London hotel has transformed one of its suites for Christmas, decking the room with fir trees, snowflakes and lots of twinkling lights.
A room inside the the Park Plaza London Riverbank hotel will be packed with all the sights, smells and tastes of Christmas, transporting you to a magical North Pole-cum-Narnia wonderland.
Once inside the winter wonderland, you’ll find faux-fur throws and cushions, 23 flickering candles held within silver and copper lanterns, two hundred snowflakes, 11 metres of festive wreaths, over 1,000 festive lights, and a few extra guests, including a polar bear and a beaver in a sleigh (obviously).
There’ll be plenty of surprises within the room – including lots of Christmas treats on the table, such as cookies, candy canes and Turkish Delight. Plus, every child who comes to stay will find a present under one of seven (!) Christmas trees. The hotel have also created a bespoke ‘Little Helper’ service, allowing guests to make a ‘Christmas wish’ which they will endeavour to deliver.
The idea for the Christmas suite was inspired by the General Manager’s son. He wondered how children staying at the hotel would get their presents from Santa, as the hotel doesn’t have a chimney. So, to reassure him, they created this magical room, which has a trail leading from the rooftop so that Santa knows exactly where to go.
The Christmas suite sleeps two adults and two children and is available for bookings from November 26 – December 27. Rates start at £159. Book here.
