This August, KERB are hosting a vegan street food festival and calling it Livin’ On The Veg. Because although food is great, puns are better…
On the 18th and 19th August, 8 vegan traders will battle it out for the prestigious title, including Biff’s Jack Shack, Petare, Lem Lem Kitchen, Eat Chay, Spice Box, Temple of Seitan, Greedy Khao and Young Vegans. Each stall will be serving up a little taster of their very best show-off dishes in order to win the Golden Carrot (yes, seriously).
KERB will be taking over King’s Cross Canopy with the ultimate vegan stand off; serving nothing but plant-based, veggie goodness. And don’t worry, there’ll be strictly no super healthy salad bowls and aubergine brownies: that’s not what this is about. Food will range from Thai curries and Bahn Mi baguettes, to buffalo “wings” and posh chip butties.
Besides the food, there’ll also be various bars serving various drinks, including special guest vegan beers. And, to make it all just that little bit better, there’ll even be a ‘Mr Potato Head’ vegetable decorating corner.
So get yourself a ticket, try all 8 dishes, and vote for your favourite. See the full line up of traders here.
