If you’ve always been prissy about pasta, then you’ve probably heard of Pasta Evangelists, the unique foodie concept and carb-connoisseurs who’ve made London’s access to fresh pasta and delicious, Italian flavours an absolute breeze. Should this apply to you, you’ll be delighted to find out that they’ve opened up their first-ever franchise location of their new restaurant ‘Emporium’ in the heart of Richmond, with further plans to open in Greenwich very soon.
An all-new sanctuary for pasta aficionados, magically transporting you to Tuscany via the taste buds, these new openings offer an entirely new take on Italian cuisine, with previously forgotten fresh pasta shapes made by hand on-site, as well as several other quirks that make them an absolute must-visit.
But what makes this new pasta hotspot truly unique is its commitment to community, as well as the plethora of events for pasta-loving Londoners.
From pasta workshops to wine tastings, each site will act as an ‘Italian hub’ within the local community, bringing together friends, families, and new faces. The Greenwich site, opening later this summer, will even house a large communal table, allowing customers to enjoy their pasta dishes in true Italian style – all together!
With a mission to make their customers feel at home, the interiors at both locations are warm and inviting, decorated with rare plants and cacti from forgotten parts of southern Italy, truly immersing you in Italian sensibilities and aesthetic.
As for the food, you can expect a jam-packed selection of home cooking to satisfy those carb-fuelled cravings on the menu. If you have a couple to satisfy, Pasta Evangelists are famed for their ‘Half & Half’ options, which are perfect for indecisive diners who want to try two dishes for the price of one.
When it comes to their unmissable events, the previously mentioned wine tastings will be free for the local community, and there’s so much more to look forward to, including informal Italian lessons over a giant antipasti platter, and kids’ pasta-making sessions on Saturdays. Weekly classes will also take place in each location, with private classes available to book for corporate events, birthdays, hen do’s and children’s parties.
Alessandro Savelli, CEO of Pasta Evangelists, states, “We’re delighted to launch our first franchise sites in Richmond and Greenwich. As Pasta Evangelists continue to expand, we’re constantly looking to innovate and elevate our pasta offering, and the new franchises will allow us to do exactly this.”
Pasta Evangelists currently also have a space inside Harrods, and their brand-new restaurant has officially launched in Richmond. Their Greenwich location will open later this year.
The Richmond kitchen is located at 52-54 Hill St, Richmond TW9 1TW, whereas The Greenwich kitchen will be located at 44 – 46 Greenwich Church Street, London, SE10 9BL For more information, visit their website.
