The Kew Gardens are a stunning London spot to visit any time of the year, but the annual Orchid Festival might just be the most stunning floral display in all of London. It’s an absolute must-visit and blows us away every year. Act fast to see it because it’s only around until March 8!

Over at the Science Museum, a breathtaking, sobering photographic record of the Pantanal’s wildfire devastation has opened. The free photography exhibition features over 60 images by Lalo de Almeida and Luciano Candisani. The photos document wildfires, drought and biodiversity loss across the Pantanal. Viewers are warned, however, that the exhibition “contains images that some visitors might find challenging.”

Vikings: The Immersive Experience will touch down in London on March 12, to whisk visitors away from the streets of London to the time of the Vikings. Explore the legend of the formidable Queen Kráka and King Ragnar through 360° projections, Virtual Reality, and hands-on experiences. Explore the life-size ‘Forest of Time’. Stand beneath the sacred ‘World Tree’. And test your strength as you attempt to wield a ceremonial Viking sword.

The largest collection of artefacts from Ancient Egypt’s most powerful pharaoh will go on display in London, as the only UK stop for the roving exhibition. ‘Ramses and the Pharaoh’s Gold’ will display a veritable treasure trove of, well, treasures. Sights include the coffin of Ramses II himself and the golden mask of King Amenemope. It even has a unique stamp of approval from the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Culture.

A stunning new immersive exhibition opens this March at ExCel London, allowing visitors to step into the extraordinary world of Egypt’s Last Great Queen. The exhibition features real artefacts, VR, 3D holograms and 5D effects. Altogether, these recreate Cleopatra’s life, providing a unique insight into the historical figure.

A stunning display of colourful lights will touch down in London for Ramadan in February, bringing the spirit of the holiday to the streets of the city. Throughout Ramadan, the lights will read “Happy Ramadan”, and then from March 18 – March 24, the display will transform to display “Happy Eid”, celebrating the joyous transition from fasting to feasting.

Go East Vintage is debuting the latest in its series of flea markets in stunning historic locations this March. This particular event will take over a historic power station in Wapping. This March, a temporary travelling museum will drop down at London’s Somerset House. The Museum of Edible Earth will welcome Londoners in for a hands-on exploration of “‘geophagy’ – the practice of eating earth for health, and customary, or culinary benefit.” The museum will feature a communal tasting table and a collection of over 600 edible samples.

Whipsnade Zoo is inviting people to hop on down for an enormous Easter egg hunt around the zoo. But there’s a twist – you’ll have to crack a secret code to be rewarded with a tasty treat at the end. This Easter, visitors to Hampton Court Palace can go on an Easter hunt to find the 12 Lindt GOLD BUNNY statues that have been hidden around the area. Holi, aka the Festival of Colours, will suffuse the city of London with colourful and spirited celebration this March. As families and friends come together to mark the occasion, the following restaurants are serving up special Holi feasts:

Solve a murder mystery in a cocktail bar

Fitzrovia speakeasy, The Lucky Pig Cocktail Bar, has put murder back on the menu – by popular demand. Following a sell-out event, they’re bringing back the interactive whodunnit immersive event that transforms the bar into a smoky 1940s underworld for The Soho Strangler. Guests will “question suspicious characters, uncover hidden motives and piece together clues over cocktails before the evening’s dramatic conclusion.”

This February, we were treated to the first 5pm sunset of the year as the days slowly (soooo slowly) started to get longer. And soon, in March, we’ll have the first post-6pm sunset of the year, on March 13. But it all changes on March 29. That’s when British Summer Time kicks in, and it all starts to feel rather sunny and wonderful. The clocks will change, and the sun will set after 7:30pm on the final day of March.
Subsequently, on April 17, London will enjoy the first 8pm sunset of 2026. That means it’s basically summer – right?!
