Starbucks red cups are back. And the world freaks out.
Ringing in the festive season this year, their Christmas campaign in London involves a giant 4m red cup installation at Kings Cross, which will gradually light up as consumers tweet using the hashtag #RedCups. All credit to their marketing team, this one’s a good’un. The campaign will run from today until the 6th November and it’s already causing quite the stir.

This year they’re re-introducing some of the Christmas classics, including Gingerbread Latte, Toffee Nut Latte and Eggnog Latte. Fresh on the scene is the new Honey and Almond Hot Chocolate – arguably not as good as our favourite London hot choccies – but if you’ve got a sweet tooth, the combination of almond syrup, chocolate whip, honey drizzle and nougat may just send you to festive heaven.

Oh, and for all your emoji lovers out there, when you Tweet a pic of your Christmassy cuppa, be sure to use the hashtag #RedCups because it will magically transform into a red cup emoji. Now THAT’s exciting.
