If you don’t like gin, you’re wrong. If there’s anything you’d rather be doing than going to a festival dedicated entirely to gin, you’re wrong. Basically, G&T > any other beverage ever.
Gin Festival began in 2012 and it’s now a booming national event with festivals popping up around the country all year round. It was created by Jym and Marie, the power couple with a huge love of the juniper juice. They wanted things to be done properly — proper gin, proper knowledge and proper garnishes. Gin Festival is now the biggest and best gin festival around, and it’s returning to London next week. Hurrah! They’ve got gins from all around the globe, top class mixers from Fever-Tree, distillers who really know their stuff, as well as some food and entertainment to accompany the beverages.
Hosted at Tobacco Dock from 17-19th February, the festival will be showcasing over 100 different gins. Your ticket will include a booklet crammed full of (g)information, a souvenir Gin Festival glass and a bunch of talks from crackerjack gin experts. There will be ample opportunities to try exciting new gins, from standard G&Ts to chocolate orange gin (yes, that’s a thing). Even if you’re a gin newbie, there’ll be plenty of gin-savvy humans on hand to show you the ropes!
