This week, in celebration of autumn and the mesmerising changing colour of the leaves, the award-winning Japanese restaurant, ROKA have put on quite the seasonal display. The basement bar and lounge that lies beneath their restaurant on Charlotte Street, Shochu, has installed a gorgeous array of maple trees. In Japanese culture, they show a huge appreciation for the beauty found in trees and it is the maple tree that symbolises autumn. You may remember in spring that we told you about ROKA’s gorgeous cherry blossom installation. If you missed having a glimpse at the lovely pink hues back then, you now have the chance to sip on cocktails and snack on sushi beneath the warming amber leaves, without stepping a foot into the cold.
