For those unfortunate few amongst you who missed the fun at London Cocktail Week (or who loved it and want nothing more than to relive it), you’ll be thrilled to know that Glenfiddich are opening the doors to their brand new pop up bar in Soho this Friday and Saturday. The Glenfiddich Experimental Bar is not just another pop up bar – you’re going to be getting a lot more for your money than a couple of cocktails. You might think the word ‘immersive’ is thrown around too lightly these days (immersive experiences are, quite frankly, all the rage), however, at The Glenfiddich Experimental Bar, you will literally be drinking, sniffing, listening, seeing and even inhaling whisky, as you discover the magic behind Glenfiddich’s new releases.
As part of Glenfiddich’s Experimental Series, The Glenfiddich Experimental Bar will show Londoners the science behind whisky and, specifically, their two new releases – IPA Experiment and Project XX. As you make your way around the pop up’s various sections, you’ll discover the ins and outs of the single malt expressions – starting with a Glenfiddich cocktail, of course. Along your way, you’ll have the chance to get nose-deep in whisky, as well as having a go at infusing your own. See? Immersive and personal.
Towards the end, you’ll also be invited to take a VR tour of Glenfiddich’s Dufftown Distillery – if you’re a Virtual Reality virgin, the combination of whisky and a virtual headset leads to a pretty immense experience. And at the end of it all, if you’re not a expert in the Scottish tipple, we’ll only assume that you enjoyed tasting it too much, thus lessened your ability to retain crucial knowledge.
And, because we do love you, Secret London readers can get all of this for £10 using this code SecretLDN10 (tickets are usually priced at £15). You can book your experience at The Glenfiddich Experimental Bar here.
