New Year. One of the most emotionally confusing, expectation disillusioning and wallet draining evenings of the year. And yet every. year. our poor optimistic minds still manage to convince ourselves to go out, get squiffy and do the annual 6am horrendous tube journey home with, what it seems, half of the entire population of the United Kingdom. And is it ever the night you hope it to be? No. It’s not. Fear not, however, our wonderful party-goer friends, there is still hope! We’ve done our research and have found the 4 best New Year’s Eve events so all you have to do is put your glad rags on and FINALLY have the night you deserve ?
1. Speakeasy Boat Party, Gangsters and Molls
Let’s set the scene. You, London (well, New York, but we’re in London…), the Thames and it’s the 1920s. The era of Prohibition. Bars are closed and underground establishments that illegally sell alcoholic beverages have sprung up in their place. The young wild folks, known as “flappers and dappers”, drink, smoke and dance all night at these “speakeasies”…sound fun? Well, we’ve got the event for you! Dress up like a gangster or a Moll and Charleston your way into 2016.
The evening starts at 8pm at the Reserve Bar & Exchange, with welcome drinks, nibbles, dancers and Casino. Party over 3 floors before waltzing down to the pier for 1.30am departure where you better be ready to groove to funky beats from none other than Leon Eeon, Julian Armour, James McLaughlin and other guests. JUST IMAGINE THE VIEWS! Get your tickets (only £25!) and get loosey-goosey like never before!
