Christmas is well and truly coming. You can’t deny it any more. We’ve had the bonfire night fireworks displays, Oxford Street is now twinkling and, come next week, most streets in London will be lit up too. Noel will soon be unavoidable. No doubt you’ll start to fret about Christmas shopping soon, only to realise on the 24th December that you spent the entirety of November and December doing exactly that – just fretting. Even if you aren’t ready to buy presents yet, you might as well ogle at some of the shop windows as they start putting up their festive displays. Liberty unveiled their Christmas window display at the weekend and, we have to say, it’s pretty magical.
Taking inspiration from Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet, The Nutcracker, the window is complete with wooden ballerinas, automated puppets, miniature theatre sets, Christmas trees and gorgeous little touches. What’s more, there’s not a product in sight (and, funnily enough, there are no live actors from The Apprentice ushering you towards handbags), so perhaps you won’t be fretting about those presents after all. It’s simply pure Christmas indulgence.
