This weekend, HYPER JAPAN is bringing Tokyo to London’s Tobacco Dock.
Now in its seventh year, HYPER JAPAN is the UK’s biggest celebration of all things Japanese. We’re talking anime, sushi, sake, and new for this year, an extra special exhibition of light, called Illuminight. From 24th to 26th November, Tobacco Dock in Wapping will be full of traditional Japanese lantern crafts known as akari, all of which were created by up-and-coming Japanese artists.
Elsewhere at the festival, you’ll be able to immerse yourself in Japanese culture; getting involved in everything from fashion and food, to crafts and cosplay. Who needs to travel all the way to Tokyo when you could just hop on the DLR, eh?
HYPER JAPAN takes place this weekend (24-26 Nov) and you’ll find it at Tobacco Dock, near Shadwell station. Get your tickets here.
