Last week, to celebrate their 200th birthday, Dulwich Picture Gallery opened its very first summer pavilion.
Designed by Camberwell designers IF_DO, the pavilion is the perfect place to spend a summer day. Here’s why you should take a visit to south London:
It’s artsy as hell.
There’s booze.
The Pavilion Bar, in partnership with The Camberwell Arms, will be serving up a delightful menu of cocktails, bar snacks and ice cream all summer long.
There’s sunshine*.
*not guaranteed.
There are endless Insta opportunities.
It’s open ’til late on Fridays.
On Friday evenings throughout June and July, the pavilion will play host to various ‘Lates’ with a number of different themes. The events are free, but you’ll need to reserve a place here.
It’s surrounded by lots of lovely green space.
The Pavilion is open from June 2nd until October 8th. Entry is free, although there is still a charge for indoor art exhibitions at the Dulwich Picture Gallery.
