This December, you won’t need to rip it up in the Alps to get piste in absolute style – the event of the ski season is sliding straight to Kensington High Street’s favourite Alpine lodge, Bodo’s Schloss. Teaming up with Après Ski London and the Ski Week, Bodo’s are putting on a boozy brunch that will transport you to the mountains, where you can take your daytime partying to new altitudes… just with a little more champagne.
The brunch party kicks off at 12pm on Saturday 3rd December and, for the first two hours, you’ll be able to have free reign over an Austrian inspired buffet ‘The Feast’. The food, which includes suckling pigs, pulled pork buns, charcuterie and cheese boards, as well as chocolate fondue, will be spread across a 5-metre-long banquet table. And you can forget about bringing your Jager-filled thermos – on entry you’ll be greeted with Moët Chandon cocktails, which will be served throughout the first hour. Oh, you’ll also be greeted by real reindeer. Yes, the bearded man himself has given his squad a few days off to let loose before the big day.
Prior to the event, you may want to practice your slalom skills in front of the mirror, as alongside the food, the booze and, of course, the dancing, there will be a ski simulation game. Plus, if you’re feeling competitive on the day, you can try your luck at winning a win a trip to the Austria (the real deal, with real cold snow and real skis), which will be given to the skier with the best time. This isn’t to say you won’t be getting your fix of snow in London – there will be a snow cannon outside Bodo’s, so you’ll arrive to find Kensington High Street beautifully blanketed in white.
The brunch party lasts between 12.00pm – 6.00pm. Tickets include 2 hours of food, champagne cocktails and free entry to the club night anytime before 10.30pm (so you don’t need to venture far if you want to continue the party). Head to the Facebook event page to buy tickets.
