One of the greatest things about Christmas in London is seeing how the city comes to life during the holiday season. The ice rinks open up, the Christmas markets start peddling their wares, and everyone is sipping on plenty of mulled wine. The city also gets transformed by hundreds of thousands of Christmas lights. And one of the city’s most stunning displays, the Bond Street Christmas lights, will be switched on in just a matter of weeks.
The popular shopping destination is transformed every year with Christmas cheer, and this year is looking to be just as festive. They’ll switch on their Christmas lights on November 12, and you can spot them shining merrily on high throughout the holiday season.
Be sure you don’t miss out on seeing the lights this year! 2026 is the last year the display will be illuminated. Next year, they’ll be unveiling a brand new theme.

Bond Street Christmas lights
To celebrate the lights being turned on, Bond Street will be closed to cars on November 12. A special switch-on event will take place that evening from 4-8pm. The night’s festivities will feature a live brass band leading a special countdown to the lights illuminating at 7pm.
Visitors can explore the street on foot – without any cars present. Along the way, they can take in the stunning Crown Jewels-inspired display, which features 80,000 energy-efficient LED lights. All the while, they can enjoy entertainment, live music performances and special experiences from the street’s world-famous brands and stores. That evening, they will also illuminate the Ralph Lauren Giving Tree, in support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

And there’s much more to see beyond the Crown Jewels display. Every year, the Bond Street-lining shops go all out with some truly spectacular displays. The store’s “elegant façades and luxury window displays” make Bond Street one of the most festive places in the city.
