It’s officially time to start penciling in plans of festive fun and frolics. And a date that every Londoner should be marking in their calendar is November 13 (next Friday). Because that, folks, is the date on which Buckingham Palace will be flinging open the doors of its Christmas pop-up.
Now, before I continue, I need to make it abundantly clear that this is not a Christmas market. Last year, an AI-generated image caused havoc, tricking tourists into believing that there was going to be some sort of Winter Wonderland setting up shop on Bucky P’s front lawn. I can assure you that this was (and is) not the case. The pop-up shop will be perched in a cosy corner of the 200 year old Royal Mews, and will be filled to the brim with Christmassy gifts and goodness.

The Buckingham Palace Christmas pop-up
From November 13, Buckingham Palace’s shop will be decked out with tinsel and twinkly lights (or whatever posh people decorate with at Christmas), ready to warmly welcome visitors to peruse and purchase some fantastically festive items. Inspired by centuries-old royal traditions, the shop will transform the gift shop of the historic stables into a cosy, Christmassy boutique. And shoppers will be able to get their hands on everything from chocolate and chinaware to trinkets and tree decorations.
So, if you want to be crowned the ultimate gift-giver this Christmas, pop the date in your diaries, head on down to Buckingham Palace, and snap up some prezzies that well and truly have the royal seal of approval.
Buckingham Palace’s Christmas pop-up shop will be open from November 13, 2028 until January 4, 2027. You can find out more and plan your visit here.
