Bookbrokers Paddy Power are currently taking bets as to which UK city will be the first to ban Pokemon GO. The new app launched in the UK this week and has really taken us by Bulba-storm with events such as Pokemon GO parties cropping up all over the city. Non-players (also known as haters) have expressed concerns that the new game will cause problems with trespassing, road accidents and general ignorance with everyone’s noses stuck on their phone screens.
Luckily for us Londoners, we have the best chance (according to the bookies) at catching the Bulbasaurs and Charmanders with odds of the app being banned here first at a comfortable 40/1.
The same cannot be said for Bristol sadly who are currently doing the worst with 6/1 odds to be the first UK city to ban the app. They are closely followed by Birmingham with 8/1 odds and then Edinburgh with 10/1 chances.
Although we sympathise with the potential banning of Pokemon GO from these cities, us Londoners can’t help but feel that this gives us a better opportunity to be the very best (that no one ever was!)
