Blue Steel’s and bellies at the ready, folks! The Vogue pop-up café has officially opened in Westfield. Vogue turned the grand old age of 100 this year and, as part of its centenary celebrations, has been opening up cafés across the world. Thus, being the (somewhat experimental) fashion capital of the world, and home to the (in)famous East End caff, it seems only right that London got one, especially seeing as Dubai, Kiev and Moscow got there first – #cityenvy.
Unsurprisingly, however, fry ups and builders tea are missing from the menu, and in their place are dairy-free cupcakes and some seriously stunning gelato. Drink-wise, from the one-off menu you can order a unique 100 champagne cocktail and a Vogue 100 punch. But if you think that is a bit too naughty for a shopping spree pit-stop, you can opt for a lovely cup (cup, not mug) of traditional English tea instead.
On display will be the best British Vogue covers from the last century. You can admire the relics while munching (or rather, nibbling) on a selection of macarons, sandwiches or sweet treats. We can only assume that the glamour of the guests will be a spectacle in itself. Fingers crossed this will rub off on us too!
This swanky pop-up will be open until September 25.
