Tickets for London’s incredible NYE firework display may be sold out but you still can get front row seats of that sought-after view of the Thames. 1. Coq D’Argent, Bank
Now as the name suggests, this one is a French restaurant, but aside from offering some pretty excellent grub and vino, it’s also home to one of the best rooftop gardens in London – the perfect place from which to view the fireworks on New Year’s Eve.
This year, they’re open until 1am, so tying in a delicious slap-up meal with some of the best panoramic views of The City and the fireworks behind – plus the restaurant’s very own fireworks too? Sounds like a real winner to us.

As you wander over the bridge from Blackfriars station towards the south side of the Thames, you’ll see the glittering rooftop of The Hoxton Southwark hotel clearly from the street below. This towering, lit-up location is the home of Seabird, a top-tier London al fresco foodie spot, set on the 14th floor of the hotel.

Perched on Level 33 of the landmark Shard, Hutong is all about tasty Northern Chinese cooking and panoramic city views. This atmospheric, award-winning spot has gone to town with its decor – the dark wooden doors and red lantern wall are particularly impressive – but the food takes it up a notch and then some.
This New Year’s Eve, Head Chef Fei Wang, has created an opulent menu featuring Northern Chinese dishes, and reservations are available between 5pm–6.30pm. You can then book a spot in the bar, which costs around £200 per person. Yes it’s pretty expensive – but worth it right?

4. SUSHISAMBA, Liverpool Street
The OG of rooftop restaurants, SUSHISAMBA is going all out this year for their New Year’s Eve celebrations, billed as ‘Sambazonia‘. From early dining to the midnight countdown, you’ll get to enjoy the delicious food whilst being utterly entertained by DJs, immersive entertainment, and live performances to boot too.

You’ll get way more bang for your buck at Skylight in Peckham, which this year is offering a set menu with a glass of champers for just 50 quid. Dishes include braised ox cheek and gnocchi with buffalo mozzarella and tomato sauce, with tiramisu or coconut ice cream for pudding.

With a name literally translating to ‘jewel’, this place ain’t exactly coming up short, and it’s quite possibly the place to be this New Year’s Eve.
