The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards have once again highlighted London’s vibrant and diverse dining scene, with several stunning entries from the capital making it onto their prestigious shortlist. Famed for celebrating the most innovative and most beautiful culinary hotspots in the world, the awards have an unmatched reputation for setting the bar in the harmonious worlds of hospitality and design.
This year, London has received an unbelievable number of nominations, so let’s delve right into the must-visit bars and restaurants that caught their fine-tuned eyes, and what you can expect from a couple of our favourites that have featured.
London and the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards
This year is an incredible year for London at the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards. So much so, 24 bars and restaurants have been shortlisted in an array of different categories that hone in on these must-visit venues for their style and decorum.
Notable entries include The Spy Bar, located inside one of London’s swankiest hotels The Owo (which has also recently won an accolade as one of the world’s greatest hotels). Boasting speakeasy vibes and an incredibly immersive atmosphere, it’s nestled inside a room that was once used by MI5.
Another one of our favourites shortlisted is Azzurra, who brings a slice of the Mediterranean to the heart of London. The sun-drenched interiors are designed by the renowned Robert Angell Design International, providing a visual feast with its lush decor and terracotta tiles that transport diners straight to the Italian coast.
Before we break down all the shortlisted entries in London, it would be rude not to mention another favourite of the Secret London team, The Alchemist at Victoria. This beautiful bar is well-known for its theatrical approach to cocktails, bringing fabulous visuals and design to both their drinks and their spaces. Although now a beloved chain, their Victoria location is undeniably their best, and it shows from the moment you walk inside.
