After years of speculation – and years of Liam goading us on Twitter – legendary Manchester band Oasis will return for the first time in almost 15 years for an epic string of reunion shows. And now, they’ve just gone ahead to confirm even more dates due to astronomical demand, making it quite the supersonic comeback.
The band infamously broke up back in 2009, with Noel refusing to work with his brother Liam “a day longer”, citing “verbal and violent intimidation” towards him as the reason for the long-standing feud.
Now, it appears the pair have buried the hatchet, as it’s now been confirmed that Oasis will reunite – to fans glee – with 17 dates planned across the UK (including London!). Taking place in 2025, fans can expect a gig for the history books at Wembley Stadium – with five dates planned next summer, after an extra date followed today after Tuesdays initial announcement.
The Longsight-hailing band are today one of the most iconic and beloved bands in history, with global hits such as Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back In Anger and Stop Crying Your Heart Out. The band has today sold over 75 million records worldwide.
