Our big, bright capital city is bursting at the seams with people, places, and things to keep us thoroughly entertained. But with fun and frolics at every turn; it’s pretty tricky to pinpoint London’s most entertaining area of all. Well, folks – it seems as though the hard work has been done for us. The amusement-seekers over at student accommodation provider, Chapter, have scoured the length and breadth of the capital in search of the most entertaining borough. They studied the city’s social scene, analysing each and every borough based on a range of lifestyle factors. And after thoroughly rummaging through the research, they crowned Westminster the most entertaining borough in London.

Chapter’s research looked at the number of bars, pubs, cinemas, theatres, bowling alleys, and mini golf venues in each borough to determine with London locales is the most fun-filled. Home to the legendary likes of Soho, Covent Garden, Mayfair, and Marylebone; the borough of Westminster boasts a whopping 740 bars (35.5 per 10,000 residents, in fact). It’s also home to a plethora of pubs (280 of them, to be exact), over 20 cinemas and more than 50 theatres and performance venues.

Camden was named the second most entertaining borough, with 270 bars and 160 pubs to its name. Rounding off the top three was hip-and-happening Hackney, a spot that serves up a ‘distinctive mix’ of casual entertainment spots. Redbridge was plonked at the bottom of the list, with just 45 bars and 27 pubs scattered across the east London borough.
