London’s metaphorical trophy cabinet is already bursting at the seams – but you know us; we’ll always find room to squeeze in one more glistening prize. And today’s shiny accolade comes from print-on-demand company, Printful. As London begins to snuggle up beneath a blanket of golden leaves in preparation for the cosy seasons; Printful thought it was the perfect time to identify the world’s most photogenic cities.
They sifted through Instagram hashtag data, crunching the numbers like autumn leaves beneath their feet, and revealed the top 10 most picturesque cities in the world. As you may have alreayd worked out, London took the top spot – and we’re feeling just a little bit smug about it.
According to the study, London managed to nab the picture-perfect crown due to having a whopping 166 million Instagram hashtags singing its praises. Okay, perhaps not all the posts were waxing lyrical about London’s beauty – but the fact that over 166 million photos of the capital city have been posted to Instagram makes us believe that plenty of people think it’s as bloomin’ gorgeous as we do.
Whether it’s the impressive architecture, the plethora of parks and green spaces, the houses that look like they’ve jumped straight off a postcard, or the view of the skyline from Waterloo Bridge that genuinely still takes my breath away after living here for almost 15 years; London really is as pretty as a picture.
Despite London coming in first place, we thought it only fair to let you know who we were up against. A rather hefty 7 of the top 10 cities are in the USA – so if that isn’t a good enough reason to immediately book a trip to the states, we don’t want is…
