The London Eye is going to look a little different tonight…
The London Eye has only just undergone a colour change, but admittedly this one is more important. At 8pm tonight (March 26th), the Eye will turn a vibrant shade of NHS blue, joining the likes of the Wembley Arch and the Alexandra Palace mast in celebrating the efforts of all NHS staff working to contain the spread of coronavirus. The colour change is timed to coincide with a nationwide round of applause for NHS workers, which aims to honour those putting their health and lives on the line to treat UK coronavirus cases, on top of keeping the NHS running as smoothly as possible. It’s spreading on social media as the #ClapForOurCarers campaign, and everyone is invited to take to doorsteps, windows, gardens (lucky), and balconies (luckier) to applaud at 8pm tonight. After all they’re doing for us, this is really the least we can do to show our thanks!
