Clubs at the ready London, because from the 12th May Junkyard Golf Club arrives at the Old Truman Brewery in Shoreditch for a three month stint. They’re bringing us crazy gold like we’ve never seen it before by making good use out of unwanted junk, various items from bargain buckets, charity shops and discarded gems. From abandoned jacuzzis, treadmills and slides, you’ll be putting your balls around the most random of objects…
You can choose from three, nine-hole courses of weirdness and twisted junk, with equally strange names – Pedro (Polluted Paradise), Frank (Putt Up Or Shut Up) and Helga (In Da Club). Alongside the courses, there is also tasty street food on offer, brought to you by Bart’s Dog Kart and Big Grillie Style. So you can gobble on some haat dawgs and nachos to get you in the zone. Who needs a golf caddy, eh? If you can handle your liquor and aren’t worried about affecting your swing, there will also be specially concocted cocktails available at the multiple bars.
Junkyard Golf Club will be open every day of the week until August, from 11:00am until 11:00pm. For more information and to book your tickets, check out their website.
