The owner of the London Taxi Company has announced huge expansion plans, meaning the iconic cabs will start operating in cities across mainland Europe as early as next year. Despite Brexit, the chief executive of LTC is going ahead with plans, with rumours that Amsterdam, Paris and Berlin are likely destinations.
The only thing is, they may not necessarily be black, and the steering wheel will be on the other (wrong) side. There’s no indication of which city will be the first to get them, but they’re hoping to start exporting their new low-emissions model, a battery-powered version of the classic black cab.
