You may remember that back in May last year, we told you about a picture-perfect pad, perched on the banks of the River Thames, that had just hit London’s property market. The rather luxurious listing came courtesy of comedian, broadcaster, and all-round national treasure, Graham Norton – and was up for sale for (a relatively eye-watering) £4.95 million.
Low and behold, we weren’t the only ones that found the price-tag to be a little out of budget. The (undeniably gorgeous) gaff hadn’t sold by January this year, and was taken off the market. But it’s now officially up for grabs again – for a whole lot less than before, as the price of Norton’s 3,700 square-feet property has been slashed by a whopping £700,000.

Graham Norton has reportedly lived in the Wapping-based abode for over 20 years. And so I guess it’s understandable that he’s rather keen to move on to pastures new. The Grade II listed Georgian townhouse dates all the way back to 1811 and was originally used as a dockmaster’s and customs office. It’s now up for sale with the property pros over at Knight Frank, and could be yours for just £4.25 million. A bargain, right?!
The property is tucked away down its own private lane and boasts (in my humble opinion) one of the best views in the capital city, offering a sweeping vista down the River Thames onto the legendary likes of Tower Bridge and The Shard. Among many other things, the hefty home features four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and four receptions rooms. Oh, and a private beach that can only be accessed twice a day at low tide.

The townhouse seamlessly blends the historic character of a period property with the modern charm of a converted warehouse. There’s huge windows, high ceilings, exposed brickwork, wooden beams, and an abundance of natural light. And with a private patio, a big old principal suite and the aforementioned beach; I think it’s safe to say that I’ve just found the latest thing to add to my vision board.
