You need not grab your magic mirror to find out which British vista is the fairest of them all, folks -because Samsung has worked it out for us instead. A new survey commissioned by the multinational manufacturing moguls has uncovered the best views in the UK. And a rather lovely London landscape topped the charts.
From the very top of the Scottish Highlands to the very bottom of the Cornish coast, the United Kingdom is home to some indisputably impressive vistas. But which of them is the most gorgeous to gawp at of all, I hear you ask? Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, of course.
Samsung’s survey saw 2000 Brits put their two cents in on the matter, and a whopping 38% of the respondents named Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament as the country’s most iconic view. 26% participants voted for the legendary London landmarks due to their ‘post-card worthy setting’, whilst 67% of the survey-takers praised their ‘instantly recognisable silhouette’.
Our picture-perfect capital city actually earned itself a few comfy spots on the list of Britain’s best views. The oh-so iconic Tower Bridge followed closely behind Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament with 36% of the survey’s votes. And the breathtakingly beautiful likes of the Royal Observatory Greenwich, Sky Garden, Richmond Hill, and Primrose Hill all made the top 20 too. Not bad, hey?
